Does anybody else have swollen red toes? Is this a typical symptom of lyme, babs, or bart?

Hi,
I have had a single red toe. The little toe on my left foot. This would swell, become red, hot and sore to touch.
Doctors including my LLMD did not know what this was from. However, this went away when I was treated for Babesia. Hum?

Funny you should post that. I have toe that was very red and swollen in the beginning. It hurt a lot when I started abx. I am assuming now that could be where I was bitten?? I never did have a rash anywhere else. It still is sore and it has been a month on the meds.

My toes, as I stated in my earlier post, are swollen, but they also burn especially at night or when I nap. I am now starting to notice it in my fingers as well. I am in my six week of babs treatment, could this be a herx? Or is this a typical lyme symptom? Thanks

Is it just your toes & not the whole foot or fingers?
The only thing I can think of is maybe fluid retention? maybe too much salt?
Take care

I am glad to see this post.
I've been rifing past 10 months.
Past 2 months I have been getting redness around my toe and fingernails...like infected hangnails. I tried dumping H202 on them, colloidal silver, which makes my swollen hang nails go away. It didn't so I took a short course of antibiotic. These were all pretty ineffective.
I bumped up my lumbrokinase (blood thinner) thinking it could be similar to the poor circulation usually seen in brittle diabetics. This seemed to help more than anything.
This month I have run a test of sorts. I have not rifed for Babs. Symptoms like painful neck and shoulders and back and gut kept getting worse. A couple of nights ago I rifed for Babs and the next day I felt tons better. Now the die off is creeping in and my finger and toenails feel infected again.
Why does die off from Babs do this?
It also causes my GI tract to stop making it difficult to swallow and have bowel movements. No matter what I take or do, I can't seem to have a bowel movement until the herx is winding down.
Why is a Babs herx so much different?

I am starting to think that the more I herx on my babs medication the more my toes become swollen and inflammed. I am also experiencing an increase in tingling in my feet as well. Could all this be neurological?

One of my joint symptoms was pain in my toes. They also looked swollen. I am finally starting to see some relief as the ABX takes hold, but my toe pain is one of the most lingering symptoms. I have Lyme but tested negative for co-infections. Carol
