This is just a general question, not related to anything I am doing at the moment. It seems so confusing to know what is working....if we feel worse... we say "it's a herx and it's good"... but how do you know that? If I drink ETOH or have too much sugar, I feel awful and know it's bad... If I do other things that are good for me... I feel awful.... how do we know the awful feeling is becuase it is doing good and not bad. I am starting on supplements and concerned how I will discriminate a "good feeling bad" from just "bad feeling bad" Does this make any sense or is my Lyme brain just too darn stupid for words????

It's not a stupid question. The best answer I can give you from my 1st herxing is; you will definitely know it.
Listen to your body; write down all the that is happening to it so you can compare notes later on. good luck; Bettyg Posted by lymie tony z (Member # 5130) on :
Nope you're not nuts or lymebrained either...
I have found myself explaining the same kinda stuff to people.
"well the bug likes this so it makes me feel bad"
"well the bug does'nt like this so it makes me feel bad"....
It's enough to drive a saint wachey!
Like betty says though...keep a journal on the consumption of whatever and the reaction you have.
It may....help you differentiate between a herx, monthly flare, food or supplement reaction...
and we're all individualistic so...what really bugs you're strain may not bug mine!
