Would anyone have any idea what could be the reasons why I'm not feeling worse since I've been off abx for about one week.
My doc advised that I take this time to recover from a bad reaction to Tini.
I still have the same yucky symptoms. I've taken abx for one year and still can't walk solo. Balance issues.

My guess would be that if you have coinfections they are under control. It usually takes weeks or even months off antibiotics before you would see an actual worsening of symptoms from Lyme by itself because it reproduces so slowly.
I am pretty sure Dr B mentioned this in his 2005 guidelines -- if symptoms become worse when off antibiotics within a week or so -- then it is probably a result of coinfections.

It was 3 weeks to the day after I got a steroid shot to my knee that I got hit with lyme symptoms (I had latent lyme in my body and didn't know it).
I was on antibiotics for quite some time, then had to stop for various reasons. 3 weeks to the day after I stopped the antibiotics I got hit hard again with many lyme symptoms.
For me, 3 weeks was when I got hit. For you it may be the same, or it may be different.

Must mean you have knocked it down pretty good. I agree that it will probably come back in time.

A one week break never made me worse. My symptoms used to come back after 4-5 weeks.

I was off abx for a few months, thought I might have gotten rid of the Lyme. I had a gradual decline that made us realize I needed to restart treatment.

Symptoms can have many causes. Lyme and co are not the only troublemakers.
Remembering back a few years ago, my Lyme was well under control (testable with ART) and gone from most areas but I was still detoxing dental toxins and metals (testable with ART).
Fear of Lyme, once experienced, as we all know, is a big factor and we sort of interpret even the tiniest symptom as Lyme.

Ive been off abx since may of this year. In some regards somethings have gotten better for me, probably yeast related.
I seem stuck now with bladder symptoms and wieght loss and sometimes fatigue. Its enough to still keep me from being normal....but i find it odd just like you.

Lyme for me has a monthly cycle....
Every 28 days or so....and it can wax and wane severity wise.....
You may have knocked down a lot of the chete or co load....
Heck....you might have been "cured" .....
However.........just hang on and monitor your symptoms...
and enjoy being symptom free or at least not as bad.......

Another possibility : I don't know what combo of antibiotics you've been taking, but some stay in your system for a couple weeks after you stop taking them.
Also, your immune system could be helping for now.

Thanks so much for all these replies and great info.
I am in NO way cured. I still test positve for Lyme and co. I have all the same symptoms, some worse than I started with.
I just thought that once off everything I'd be much worse. I was real confused why I wasn't so bad when I still had this bug.
I'm going back on abx by Thurs. I can slowly feel myself getting more unhinged. Yucky feeling.
It's also not good to know I have such a bad reaction to cyst busters. I know I need some-somehow...

If the azoles are not to your bodies liking..
Like metronidazole,flagyl,tini...
You may want to try alinia...it supposedly has some cyst busting properties even though it's an antiparasitic....
