i am on day 5 of the ceftin and have noticed the strangest things. like last night i could have sworn my bedroom door was closing, moving. scared me to death cause i was alone and knew it wasn't. also i've thought i've seen shadows or movement when there wasn't any.
is the ceftin killing the ketes and causing this or is it my eyes??
i had the same reaction on biaxin but it was much much worse, like seeing bugs and moving ceilings. freaked me out, so they stopped it.
anybody else get this??

Hi,
I have "seen things" several times right before I fell asleep. It wasn't scarey things, I can't quite describe it-sort of like people, but when I thought about it I could tell I was seeing them but it wasn't real.
It was different than those dreams you have when you are half awake.
Decidedly visual only, if that makes sense.
I think I was on Biaxin at the time. I am not having any problems on Septra and Mino.
I wonder if your dose is too high right now.? Hope you have a better night tonight!
Char
PS I have heard things right before I fell asleep, something faint that I figured out was not real. Maybe it just the darn keets who like to wreak havoc on their way out.

I've been on ceftin throughout my treatment and have never had visual hallucinations, though I've read about other people who've had them as part of neuro Lyme symptoms.
There have been times I've heard things though...

Yes. part of the neuro lyme. My guess is that when you are aggravating them by killing them off it makes the sxs worse. I had them much worse in the past. They come and go and are very infrequent now. It can be scary, but try to remember that as this happens it probably means you are making a dent in the process and getting better.

I had this experience also. I saw a seal more times than I can count in my living room. I also saw horseys and smelled onions alot.
It was a good abx for me.

Its funny I never see things but I am on ceftin now and have been seeing shadows move across the room in my peripheral. It makes me look up to see who is there.Aggravating.RG
