This is listed as one of the treatments in Jernigan's book. I was wondering if anybody ever used magnetic therapy, specifically the SUPER MAGNETIC BED that supposedly saturates the body with negative polarity, which can be helpful in healing.

I ask because I had a strange experience while I had a brain MRI. Now remember, I am getting pain or parasthesia every 10 seconds or so, nonstop for 150+ days. However, while I was in the MRI device, I only had 3 pains/parasthesias!

This everages to about 1 per 20 minutes!! So doesn't this mean that the magnetic field was creating an inhospitable environment to the 'chetes just like when I get very slight relief from a hot bath or while exercising?

If so, the super magnetic bed may be worth the crazy cost. Here is a link:

Thoughts? Thanks!!

How MRIs work:

You are catching on...in a round-about way.

We are very "electromagnetic" and so are the pathogens.

NORMALLY...acids (neg. charge), radiation therapy, light...all the way down to frequencies...destroy pathogens.

Problem...too many neg. charges destroy healthy cells along the route to cure. Too acidic, not good. Too much radiation exposure, not good...follow?

Remember ICHT using DNP...an extremely strong acid in a class with cyanide? A lot of neg. charges deplete the positive ones.

Guess which branch of our gov. has the world's largest permanent magnet made of bismuth and manganese.

Don't you wonder WHY? I sure do!

A better picture of what is really happening in lyme likely would be:

Positron emission tomography. A PET scan.

It looks at ***calcium*** clogged arteries, glands, and other organs.

Marnie,

Thanks for your response, although some of it went over my head.

All of the information that I have states that Lymies must make their bodies alkaline, because Bb thrives in an acidic environment. This is what my LLMD said, too. Are you in disagreement with this?

Anyway, the magnetic therapy is supposed to help by "detoxifying, alkalinizing, and calming the nerve and muscles."

Heh, an MRI of the brain stopped my continuous headache for five weeks.

Then it began gradually coming back, and in four or five months was as bad as ever.

The safest way to go is to consume the foods (and beverages) to become alkaline.

Here are 2 websites that may help:

http://www.thewolfeclinic.com/acidalkfoods.html

http://www.keytohealthclinic.com/alkalinediet.html

There are also books on the subject. One is titled: Alkalinize or Die.

There is a product called AlkaMax by TriMedica that comes with lithmus paper so you can check your pH. Because it contains potassium, be SURE to get that level checked FIRST and run this supplement by your doctor FIRST.

Metabolic acidosis happens when there are too many hydrogens IN the cells....too few outside.

Metabolic and respiratory acidosis are 2 completely different things!!!

pH stands for the "potential of hydrogen". It is regulated by the kidneys.

In lyme, there is a problem with the "pumps"...Mg-ATP and Na-K. Too much "oxidative stress". Too many "free radicals" (most are lone oxygen).

We are SUPPOSED to be slightly alkaline...metabolically.

Melatonin works BEST in an alkaline environment.

The body looks to be using its most abundant mineral, calcium. However, it is Mg, not Ca, that is attached to our energy carrier as Mg-ATP.

There is an enormous Ca-vitamin D (a specific form of D) protective mechanism that is coming into play, IMO.

This disease is soooooooo complex, from so many angles, it is impossible to just look at one thing. This pathogen is using so many nutrients (which help us to make proteins, enzymes, neurotransmitters)of ours, it gets extremely complex as to how to "rebalance".

The point is: we need the nutrients Bb is taking from us/depleting in us in order to fight.

It is a matter of picking the ones that will help the MOST. Certainly the antioxidants play a HUGE part.

The body showed us. We didn't pay attention. We didn't have "enough", fast enough, to spare.

At the OUTSET of this disease, there is a "very significant" drop in Mg levels (Romanian cancer hospital abstract).

I believe Mg was released (likely from the liver stores...along with B6)to keep the circulating levels up while RAISING the pH. Keep in mind the kidneys are balancing this constantly...eliminating "excess".

Mg INactivates PFK...the "rate limiting enzyme for glycolysis (using sugar, not oxygen, to make energy) AND it inactivates HMG CoA reductase putting a halt to VLDL ("baby" cholesterol) release from the liver AND with Ca, is needed to make antibodies...the list goes on...and on since Mg has MULTIPLE specific functions (as do most nutrients).

The body chose THIS mineral to fight. We didn't have enough, fast enough to "spare". This is disasterous.

Carol,

Did you ever see the movie, "First Do No Harm" with Meryl Streep? It is based on a true story. Do you understand why acids (proteins and fats) and "electromagnetic" devices now inserted into the brains of Parkinson's patients are working? Electric shock therapy. These all are negative charges.

The problem is...too many, I repeat...too many, negative charges deplete the postitive ones (most minerals and glycogen). (The brain HAS to have glycogen.)

Too many negative charges harm HEALTHY cells...the eyes and the kidneys are esp. vulnerable.

Into a search engine (I use "Google"), type in these words: "negative charge acetylcholine".

Most links will be "Greek" (to me too!), but you should begin to see the "connections" as you skim them. See the mention of opening the receptor channels and the tyrosine/tryptophan implications.

It's all about balance and protecting non-infected cells while directly targeting Bb.

Shields down. Halt plaque.
