I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Did anybody have these symptoms or go through what I went through? It is a long story so below is the URL My Lyme Disease Story Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :
Welcome Delores! Your story sounds like so many who have come and gone on this site. I do hope you are on your way to good health!
It's that positive attitude that will get you well!! Posted by Lymied (Member # 6704) on :
Hi Dolores,
Thank you for posting - It was nice to read your story.
I am a fellow North Carolinian. I have only been here 2 1/2 years. I got sick two months after moving here.
I enjoyed reading your story...and Thank You for including TIC*NC's site on your story page. I helped start this group in May of 2005. It was such a treat to click on the link thinking it was going to link to some other groups and then see our site pop up.
It made all the work so far all worth it!!! ;0) Thanks for making my day!
I wish you well on your road to recovery.

Hi Dolores
I read your story. I am so sorry you had to suffer so long. Unfortunately it has happened also to so many of here.
I am happy you found a diagnosis and wish you well on your road to recovery.
Let us know how you are doing with your HOB treatments.

What nice words of encouragement from all of you. Thank you!
I don't do the hyperbaric anymore. I did six treatments and stopped. Mainly because I read Klinghardt's paper and it stated that HBOT is disappointing for long term treatment of Lyme.
I have been doing the salt/C protocol for over a month. However, I don't know if I'm going to continue it. I am up to 10,000 mg a day and I am blowing up like a balloon with water.
I also bought a KMT-24 unit about a month ago and have been using it everyday. So, I'm not sure I really need the salt/C too.
All these various treatments are very confusing. Deciding which ones to keep and which ones to quit is a daunting task.
Thanks again, Dolores

strait salt is toxic and can cause water retention(edema) to protect the body and buffer the toxins. sea salt is cleansing and alkalizing. i love the C and salt proctocol but only the natural form. sea salt, whole food source vit c. i take concentrace with my vit c and liquid mangesium. it seems dr klinghardt is using salt and c more and more.
Dolores, I'm sorry you have had such a hard time. I have the overall swelling, fast pulse and many other symptoms. I had the horrible overall body pain which has recently gotten better although I still have plenty of pain and some burning left.

Yes, I agree. I can't tell for sure but it sounds like you are not working with an ILADS LLMD. If not, I would urge you to find one. Have you been tested/treated for co-infections? Have you done anything about neuro-toxins? I would suggest that you go with an ILADS LLMD who understands the whole picture of lyme and has the benefit of many other doctors who are successfully treating lyme. Terry

Hi Dolores,
I would like to send you a recent study on hbot and lyme. It is not a research study but it does follow 43 patients in the treatments and shows the percentage of progress and who recieved the best results. You would fall into the catagory or low results...
I hope that if you reconsider HBOT you will ensure that you have removed any heavy metals and treated any co infections as well. If you are interested in the study please send me an email requeste to [email protected].
