After feeling sh!tty for over a month, all of a sudden I have felt much better today and yesterday.
Is it possibly still lyme? Did I just have something that I took a while to get over? Or is it, as my neurologist says, all in my head?
I have a appointment with a specialist on thursday and am now wondering if it will be a waste of money?

Did this happen to anyone else in the beginnign stages?

Yes, this happens a lot. For me, it was an indication that health was still in me, someplace!

You said you had symptoms that made doctors suspect Lyme or MS. MS symptoms are not vague complaints, and certainly a bigger deal than just picking up a flu bug that was going around.

I would continue the antibiotics for at least another month, if possible. (Many LLMDs recommend 8 weeks beyond the end of symptoms.) See if you stay in good health. Then try stopping and see if you stay well.

Wishing you good health,
Shaz

Yes. Very common with lyme disease.

Mine came and went in cycles for 7 years. There where some times that I would start to feel better but eventually felt sick again.

If it where me I would still go to get checked out. I wish I had in the beginning.

Lyme disease ruined 20 of years of my life. Not to mention all of the suffering and waste that was my life.

I really do hope you keep your appointment.

It's really false economy in the long run.

Because I didn't get treatment in the beginning I probably have spent over $200,000 easily.

Don't be tricked.

I still have this happen.

I've had a few "I'M CURED!!!!" times!

The funny thing is, my memory is so shot that I nearly forget between times that I've done this before!!!

Then I go, "Oh yeah, right, it's BAAACK."

Assuming you have lyme, you can be pretty assured symptoms will come creeping back around.

The good news is that your good days will increase!!!

Don't skip the doctor's appointment.

They're too hard to come by.

Go do your testing -- for coinfections too. It's a stone too important to leave unturned.

And keep having good days.

The doctor will be overjoyed and will NOT want you to be on abx forever with no symptoms..I guarantee.

Good luck!

Michelle
