I started a thread in general, but decided to post the results of my mold plate tests in medical as to get some feedback.
....

I got the results (pasted below). In the bedroom the counts are TNTC or too numerous to count. The bathroom is safe. Perhaps I should sleep there.

From a quick phone call and google search this is what I have gathered:
Microsporum which is in the bedroom usually causes only external or skin infections.

Cladosporum which is in the kitchen and living area is more pathogenic in that it can be internal and cause systemic symptoms such as fatigue and brain fog.

I was making steady and at times dramatic progress until I moved here. I do hope that others will factor in mold as a possible cause of lingering symptoms just as we have begun to consider co-infections.

Hey Humanbeing,

The test was simple:

I ordered a kit from Mold Lab Int'l which consisted of four petri dishes. The kit is $120 and includes the dishes and cost of testing.

I refrigrated the dishes until I was ready to test, and then lay them out uncovered in each room of my apartment for an hour.

Here is the informaiton:
Mold Lab Int'l

I've posted about mold so much I may get the reputation of that moldy girl on this forum. But I can't emphasize enough the importance of mold testing, as soon as I was exposed my health started detoriating.

Hi Lymetoo,
I was waiting for you to show up. I knew you would eventually. [Razz]

Tomorrow I will see my MD and decide how quickly I need to move. I just got a tiny ozonator. I'm going to place it in my bedroom and go out for a while. That may help.

My mold doc sez the only way to get rid of the mold and the spores is to rip up the carpet, tear out the walls etc. I'm lucky to live in a dry place with low mold counts however I still have mold allergies from living in a damp place. My heart goes out to you.

My doc also rents out an ozonator for $5 a day however he sez it doesn't touch the spores.

Saw a post on the California Lyme yahoo group by someone looking for an attorney dealing with tenants rights regarding a mold issue. Maybe that would help if you're renting.

I'm guite certain that mold exposure when I lived in a different place was what caused my immune system to finally crash. Awful stuff.

Ok,
I saw my LLMD, who has much experience in bioenegetic testing and mold treatmetnt.

Good news: I don't have to move. He tested me energetically and none of the molds in my apartment are the main culprit or weighing my immune system significantly.

He recommended a ozonater to be run weekly.

Moving won't be of help as I live in what he called the mold belt. My other apartments, although relatively new and free of moldy smells and stains had more significant mold levels.

Doc Recommended moving out to the desert. I couldn't tell if he was serious or joking as he sees patients other states that are less friendly to mold.

Bad news: aspergillus is the main culprit and has been since Feburary. The only other place I spend time is in a clinic every Tues and Thurs. Or it could just be the levels in the air in Texas.

I do have to find a solution to the mold. My Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia levels are significantlly down according to energetic testing. (Actually the are not detectable but we are still treating). Mold is one of the major problems and interfering with my healing.

I am really tempted to move out of state to NM or AZ were their is dry heat, and I would still have access to my doctor.

I guess I am looking for someone to say that it is not crazy to move for my health. My friends and family do not understand this...
