My doc is going to let me get the IGG and IGM tests from Igenex, he feels it is warranted.
One question I forgot to ask is will the timing make a difference? That is, I just got through a bad cycle, feeling like crap. I'm a bit better today and was wondering if I should wait until I feel crappy again to get the Igenex tests, or if it will not matter?
Thanks, need to know ASAP on this one.

Not on antibiotics yet. He feels if I have it, my body fights it back but it's getting worse.

Sorry, that answer was short.
I seem to go in cycles every 2 weeks or so, and it is the same.
I'm on the downside of one of my 4-5 day cycles of massive jaw pain, tons of PVC's and waking with nausea, along with other symptoms. Today I woke up real nauseous, but the other symptoms are better today. This seems to be the cycle for me.
It was actually a lyme literate cardiologist who suggested I get the igenex tests. I didn't ask him if it would make a difference when I got tested. I assumed the igenex were more sensitive and it shouldn't matter?
So, I've got the orders, the kit etc. Just didn't know if I should wait until I feel like absolute crap again, or just go send that blood today.

Do it now and find an LLMD ASAP! You can post in the Finding a Doctor Forum for that.
One thing to be careful about is sending it at the beginning of the week. Have your blood drawn on Monday or Tuesday so it gets there and doesn't sit over a weekend. That isn't good for the results.

LLMD ASAP!! Get Test Done your having the same kind of responce I had before diagnosed I had 2 strains Lyme. But whats going to happen is the spirochetes are going to beat the immune responces and soon you wont get sick for months then youll get severly high fevers when it dose recognize the spirochetes again and accompanieing that will be severe joint pains migrating every where. Then you wont show any antigens get test now and start abx's

Do it now -- if you are NOT on antibiotics, that's all the better, from a testing perspective.
Blood drawn in the afternoon is a better bet.
THIS afternoon!
Make sure your doc includes his fax number on the form.
IgG and IgM lyme tests are good; however, you don't want to be silly and overlook coinfections. That's why you will need an LLMD. You'd be in the minority to be positive for lyme and NOT have one or more of its buddies - babesia, bartonella, ehrlichia, and the list goes on. Those can keep you from recovering and leave you scratching your head for many months (not to mention suffering).
Good luck! I'm way impressed at your cardiologist!! Keep us posted!

Do it early in the week, which would be today! Later in the week and the blood will sit around in the Post Office, which could skew the results.

Ok,
Off it went. 180 bucks right? IGG and IGM.
Not sure if I want a positive result or not.
Sure would love an answer other than anxiety for feeling like crap, PVC's, nausea, jaw pain, face tingling etc...

Good luck!! If it's Lyme, at least you'll know what to do!!
