BEWARE IT'S LONG!! Lyme shows up and then marital problems. We're on the verge of divorce!! Married 6yrs. My hubby has done some strange things lately. He moved a large sum of money from our joint accout to his own acct. Had to go to court. Most of it was my disability $$$. I've been thru verbal abuse. He was a no-show(until 3am at my hotel room) on getting me to one of my latest lyme appts. (He had been gone for 5 days. No note or phone call). I drove myself,(four hour drive). He would not follow me home after appt. He bought apparently bought 2 cars on this 5 day escapade w/out my knowledge. He acts like I'm not sick (denial). I ask him to educate himself on lyme (for years). No success. I've hd lyme for 4.7 yrs. Exterior house maintenance is not one of his concerns, He is a hoarder. Junk has accumulted in our garage, office, side of house & back yard. We live in a nicehouse/neighborhood. I tell him the junk and clutter increases my stress and anxiety. I wont't get well with excess stress. LLMD agrees. I am not a neat freak. [confused] I'm so tired of asking for help and not receiving any from him. Has anyone had any similar problems?? Maybe divorce and being on my own would be healhier & less stressful. I've done it before when my first husband died. I've talked to counselors, friends, several priests... Any feedback is appreciated!!!!

Sounds like stress amungo!

Dump the stress.

If the baby goes out with the bath water.. so be it.

Good luck!

It sounds like he might be bipolar.
Hoarding is obsessive compulsive.
Both can be caused by Lyme Disease.

Carol makes a really good point about your husband ---

His recent behavior *does* sound manic. Hoarding is also a sign of trouble -- lyme related or not.

I'm very sorry you are having such a terrible time right now -- I hope you can find a solution soon...

Hugs!

I Strongly agree with Carol and the monkey...

He may not like it but he's probably a lymie himself...

I know I exhibited some O/C behavior previously in my battle.

zman What's an Umbie??
