f For years, when my husband, born in Lebanon and lived there until he was 18, was asked where he was from, it was usually from someone whose eyes narrowed into suspicion and started projecting prejudices. We lived in the deep south, so those expriences were quite often. He learned to steer away from an answer, or say he was Italian!
Now, in the professional world (he has a Ph.D.), it is less of an issue. We are established and are part of the greater commuity, 3 kids all gifted, he coaches soccer and we participate in Scouting, and have fewer uncomfortable encounters.
It IS curious that he did not give geographica answer, but who knows why that was.

I doubt it really matters. Don't need anymore sqinting eyes of suspicion. All any of us need to know is he is another person who thinks they may have Lyme.
It would be nice to let all threads discussing Dr. Islams character just drop right of the bottom of the page.

Who cares.
Can we please stick to the topic here......we're all here to discuss LYME!!!!!????
I don't care where anyone on this forum is from - we all are in this boat together, either as current/past Lyme sufferers or have friends or family members who are.
