was recently told that using a magnet, with the poles that attract on either side of the joint ,will help with joint pain.
i know many people and golfer swear by it, but is it an urban legend of does it actually help.
the magnets must be so so that they attract each other thru the skin or joint.
i bought my magnets at Home depot and hot glue gunned them to an arm brace for my tennis elbow.
any body have success with magnet treatment???? does it destroy cells in body??

Yup. I have used magnets for inflammation and joint pain. I also use a magnetic wrap for back pain while I sleep sometimes. They seem to help.
However, you really need to get high quality magnets from a reputable source. Not sure HD has what you need. I think I ordered mine from Dr. Philpont (sp?) in Arizona.
Also, don't sit too close to your PC or laptop with them on. I know someone who wiped out his harddrive with a magnet. Just an FYI.

I agree with Beachcomber, you need the proper type of magnet. I have had great success using them for all types of things.
