My daughter is starting Tindamax two times a week twice a day. Just wondering how other responded to this?

I have been pulsing tindamax since early Spring '06, with a similar schedule. (twice a day, 3 days a month).
I have had no problems whatsoever.

Hi, I am not sure if it is a herx or allergic reaction. There has been predominantly mild throat contriction and once or twice, a tightening of the heart. But not the knock you down and out feeling or any head stuff.
I take it at the end with zithro/mino, which I am tolerating better than last year.
Doctor was concerned, so there is a "watch". It goes away in a while. Does not happen with every dose, though.
Not much help, huh? Just no real magic stuff hanging out in my pharmacy cupboard !
One caveat: I was doing flagyl last year. I am much improved, so that may be why there is less reaction.

No problems with Tinidazole 500mg 2x/d for 5 days.

I was prescribed the same dosage. I started with one tablet and was supposed to work up from there over a number of days. I had a strong reaction to the first tablet--nausea, vomitting, stomach cramps, restless legs, felt like a strobe-light was going off in my head. I backed down to about 1/3 of a tablet and worked up from there. I have been on it several weeks, and the herxes are pretty much gone. Just wish to caution you to start out slowly. Maybe you will have no adverse reactions and can increase quickly--trying to save you from a bad experience. Blessings. Jen902
