Not sure whether to be happy or sad. I've been on the rocephin for 3 months now. Some improvements but not as much as I'd hoped for.
I'm hoping that mentally, having this out of my arm and heart will do me good. I won't feel like a patient 24-7.
Afraid that I will fall back but don't see any other way. Doc says we'll just give me a rest for 2 weeks, then decide if and when orals will begin.
Please send good vibes? I need them badly today.
Bless you all! TTPH

Hey PA Friend,
I know what ya' mean. It's a bittersweet moment. There's always that fear of relapse. I've been off of Rocephin for about three months now. I don't believe I've relapsed from being off of Rocephin. I don't think I've relapsed at all. There are some good oral combos out there to do post IV. And still hit hard I might add.
Hang in there, and enjoy the break. Posted by painted turtle (Member # 7801) on :
Good luck!
Heres vibes that the three months did what they were meant to do and now you can move on
getting well, restoring health and living life the way you want to live it.

It's out!
I have to keep a bandage on it until tonight....then a bandaid. Can I tell you how much I wanted to wash my hair 2-handed and also wash my left arm for real?
I'm hoping it's all good.
I pray I don't backslide......but who can stay on IV forever, right? Posted by lesley1954 (Member # 7626) on :
I was very worried when my daughter's PICC line came out after 14 weeks, despite the fact that her improvement while on IVs was nothing to write home about.
She has definitely made more progress over the past 10 months on orals than during her 3 months of IVs. Here's wishing the same for you!

Wow...no wonder I was hurting, burning and itching so much! Once the nurse took the picc line out, my entire mid arm, all under the bandages was blood red, blistered and burned.
I will never fear IV again, as I had no problems with the rx. It's the bandage over it, whether normal or paper kills me!
I tried to tell them it's the adhesive they use on both .......arrgghh. This is going to take days to heal.
Oh well, maybe that will take my mind off the lyme symptoms for a bit. Posted by trails (Member # 1620) on :
