I can't use Bart meds at the moment either and have major Bart CNS symptoms - as well as the sole pain, feet burning, foot pain, etc.
I'm wondering if hyperbaric oxygen might help - it's something I'm thinking of although I have no idea how I'll come up with the funds.
Have you tried it?
I'll have to think about the heat-soaking idea at least for the feet.
I do think the detox foot pads are helping my Bart foot pain a bit.

Dana- I don't know it if will kill anything but it will sure feel good!
Before I got good treatment and discovered I had Bart, RMSF, and myco along with lyme, I would soak in the hot tub every day, sometimes twice. I would be pain free, warm and relaxed for a few hours.

My daughter's body temp always hovers around 95-96 degrees. Our LLMD recommends sauna. Raise the body temp 130 degrees for 30 minutes.
We joined a spa just for that purpose. I have to go because her disease keeps her from learning to drive.
Hot water would feel good...but it might just chase the demons to another place.

Put some icy hot on your feet, but just a little, if you have bad nueropathy, it will feel like your on fire.
However, if you have antibiotics, and bad foot pain, put icy hot on your feet, and then take the antibiotics. They will work much better.
You feet should hurt quite a bit the first day, but when the herx wears off, you'll notice the pain is measurably reduced, and more so had you only taken the antibiotic as usual.
Just a tip on how to mimic the bath thing:)

Remeber, just a little, if you don't know how bad your nueropathy is, try a very small area out first.
I can tell you from experience that assuming your nueropathy is OK isn't a good idea. But, it doesn't mean that the icy hot doesn't work, it simply worked better than expected, which means my antibiotics worked a bit too well.
So don't make my mistake, the stuff works, but its all about dosage.
