A lot of my symptoms have improved. I am currently on Mino 200Mg a day, zithro 500Mg a day nistatan 2 pills in morning 2 pills at night for yeast control. I am also taking biccilin shots every 3-4 days 1,200,000 units.

I still have the twitching going on but much less then before. I am no longer weak on my left side, it feels about 80% healed there. My tongue still gets tired from talking every now and then but hopefully these shots will nock that out.

I would say I am about 70% better and when i last updated you at that time I was at 25%, feeling like I was all most dead. I gained my weight i lost back and added 20lbs on top of that (not sure if thats good but hey its better then being super thin). I am also 6'4 so it looks good on me.

Thanks for being concerned when I am around 90% better I will be back to this board trying to help people who were in my circumstances as much as possible. I have vowed to make Lyme awareness part of my life. It took so much from me at age 31 that I never want anyone to have to go through the same ordeal I did.

Thanks god for Dr. H, he saved my life. I am able to surf again, I cant believe it. Again I want to thank all you you for your support, if it was not for this board I would have given up insread of get better, you all have my most deepest gratitude. I promise I will be back when I am a little bit better. I Heart you guys.

Yippee! I'm so glad to see your post, Luke! I do remember you first posting, with ALS-ish symptoms, then positive lyme tests. I'm so glad treatment worked out well for you. It's nice to have confirmation our LLMD's really DO know what they're talking about, isn't it? Since progress often feels so slow WHILE you're going through it.

Have fun surfing, and don't be a stranger around these parts!!

Luke, did you take anything like flagyl or anything described as a cyst buster?

And to think how many others out there were dxd with ALS and are "doomed". It's hard to fathom sometimes.

Luke, I'm SOOOO glad you're better! It's just so awesome to hear from you!

Keep up the good work! [Smile]

Luke,
It's great to hear you are so much better. I remember clearly how unsure and frightened you were. It looks like having the right doctor has really helped.

Hi Luke,

Glad you're doing great. Please keep us posted and please do make Lyme awareness a mission. As you can see, if you look at some of the current topics, this is a CRITICAL time for all Lyme patients with the IDSA doing it's best to sabotage the availability of treatment (and Lyme doctors) for us. They're now trying harder than ever.

(((Luke)))

So so so very happy for you. What amazing progress, and it hasn't been that long has it. Less than a year I believe.

What an inspiring story!! Take care, keep updating.

We heart you too!!

Luke,

How wonderful to log in tonight and find your post. I too remember when you first started posting on Lymenet and how sick and scared you were.

And now you're surfing!!!!

You go and have a lot of fun...
