I have these weird attacks that come out of the blues and it starts with the headpressures, dizziness and then I take my PB and it is around 152/99 when Im standig and sitting. Then I lay down and it usually drops down to normal 107/72. any suggestions? I am taking the hydrochlorothiazide for water retension and HB pressure which dr says I have but at home it is mostly normal. anyone have an idea to treat this without going on more meds? could it be a herx? I also need to lower cholesteral any ideas/?? terri

Terri, does your heart rate also go up along with your blood pressure?
I had POTS for a while, my heart rate and blood pressure would increase when I would stand. I felt weak and dizzy, and mostly choose to stay in bed.
There have been a number of posts recently on POTS, so perhaps you can do a search.

Hello serendipity, Yes matter of fact the heart beat when up to 105 but not all the time. Only once in a while just no pattern at all. Most of the time I feel good but then it hits me like a ton of bricks. Now I have the headache pain right in the middle of my forhead. Yesterday it was behind my eyes. also terrible headpressures and feeling of cold, even though my ears are brigh red and hot. thanks for any input. therese
