Can anyone enlighten me on which ones would be the best? I'm divorced and am having huge struggles with my ex. I almost feel depressed but don't know the symtpoms.

Mangosteen is AWESOME for depression and anxiety.
other products would include rhodiola, Sam-E, and "Nerve Blend" by Solaray [anxiety only]. Can't think of others. I use the mangosteen with great success.

Sorry you have so much stress.
B vitamins are at the top of the list for stress, they may also help with energy. Get a multiple B vitamin. Wild oats are good for stress and calming. Theanine - an amino acid is helpful. GABA - good for stress and anxiety. Magnesium - calming and very important if you have lyme. Stabilium by nutricology - helps the body have a healthy response to stress and helps brain function.
Those are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head. If I had to recommend one out of the list, B is the most important for stress because it gets used up rapidly with stress.
Also, if you have lyme, stress affects the immune system so you might want to add something to bolster the immune system.
Hope things calm down for you soon. Terry

I'm not a doctor but I've been dealing with depression for years - I always thought it ran in my family until I realized it's part of lyme and we all have lyme.
Don't let it get out of control. See a doctor if you feel like you might be going over the edge. You may need an antidepressant temporarily. You need a prescription for them.
Many years ago, the first time I had severe depression during my worst lyme flare ever, I seriously considered suicide. Don't let it get to that point. Terry

That sort of stress STINKS!!! Check out Seredyn and Amoryn, both pharmaceutical
grade herbal supplements specifically for anxiety and depression. You can get them on line.
I hope this or something helps PRONTO!

Good advice. I would like to add that your hormones can contribute, if out of balance, and not just thyroid hormone, though a low thyroid level can definitely cause depression
I had ALL my hormones tested by a holistic doc, thinking low cortisone was to blame, but found out it was my DHEA that was much too low. This is the "joy" hormone, so a small supplement helps if you are female, and a much larger amount may be taken if you are male. Since it is a hormone, you need a blood test before starting, and every six months while on it.
Higher levels are correlated with longer life and better and faster recovery from illness.

Nothing has worked better for stress for me than ABX -- and getting a good night's sleep.
I think these supplements also have helped:
* methyl- B12 sublingual * magnesium * An all around B vitamin * Buhner's protocol: resveratrol, and stephania * Omega 3's EFA's * lots of probiotics * Celery seed
And something I learned here on lymenet from farah is amazing for stress -- essential oils.
I have found almost instant relief from bad stress if I take a couple of drops (one or two) of Chamomile and Lavender essential oils, mixed in with jojoba oil, and rubbed that into my hands and breath it in for a minute.
I have had some amazing stressors lately, but these all help.
