I had my coinfections restested today, and Dr. S in Chadds Ford is using some lab in NJ though I was too out of it today to argue for IGeneX very long. I don't know why he doesn't use IGeneX like Dr. B did in West Chester.

I'm trying to determine how accurate this NJ lab is. See, I can't be infused for another week now because my liver enzymes are still too high. I'm convinced I have babesia multiplying in my liver and that's why my liver is complaining still.

This stinks because ALL of my symptoms are already back FULL FORCE.

I'm taking my daughter to Dr. S tomorrow for her first lab test. He will probably want to use the NJ lab for her, too. I'm thinking I should get the IGeneX for her. I think she has Northwestern Health Insurance. Help?

I'm worried about her. She hid a lot of the psychiatric presentations from everybody, but today told all. She sounded just like me.

How do I push the IGeneX for her with Dr. S tomorrow? And was sending my blood to the "NJ lab" for my coinfection "retest" a waste?

Sure hope it isn't Quest! Where is MDL located?

I believe quest is in fl. and I know MDL is in N.J.

My first LLMD sent my test there(MDL), mine came back positive for Lyme but not for co-infections. My husband had only 1 band on the western blot but had tons of symptoms.

Some people had better luck with MDL than INGENEX. I think it was trails, a frequent contributor here at lymenet had positive results for co-infections from mdl that were neg. from INGENEX.

Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble, and it makes everything that much worse when you have to find another Dr. I know, My first LLMD just retired,UGH!!!

take care

Dr. S used MDL for PCR testing when I was there.

Dr. G uses MDL as well.
I believe that MDL is located at 2439 Kuser Road Hamilton NJ.
I had tests done there and they seem to be pretty accurate.

I was impressed by MD LABS/NJ where they showed I had 3 types of epstein barr virus, active HHV-6, and simplex herpes virus.

Think they checked for co-infections too...NONE.

Bowen,, NO CO-INFECTIONS BUT DID HAVE LYME

IGX -- POSITIVE FOR LYME; NO CO-INFECTIONS.
