I asked for a copy of my test results from IgM Western Blot.
Anyone who is really good at reading them, can you tell me if there is a way to know if you are severely infected or just alittle (I know sounds silly but I was just wondering).
Here are my results:
18 + 22 - **23-25 IND 28 - 30 + **31 IND **34 + 37 - **39 IND **41 IND 45 - 58 + 66 + 73 - **83-93 +

Looks like you are Igenex positive. Based on that, any LLMD would likely start treatment. The picture could be more complicated if you've had the vaccine but I don't know enough about that to comment further.
My LLMD say's that the 83-93 band is over 95% specific for borellia PLUS you have another starred band - enough said, I would do whatever I had to do to get treatment via an LLMD.
The bacteria that causes lyme disseminates quickly throughout the body. The Western Blot looks for antibodies but cannot tell you if the infection is widely disseminated or how long you've had it.
You should be tested for co-infections if you haven't already. If you don't have an LLMD, find one by going to the searching for doctors section on this website.
I think most here would say that you definately have lyme disease. Terry

Yes, you have LYME but more importantly you are CDC POSITIVE, so you will be one of the statistics now. Make sure your MD reports you ok !
Welcome to our lyme club; no dues; just out of pocket expenses for our office appts/labs/meds, etc.
Tutu will be along with her Dr. C explanation of the numbers of WESTERN BLOT IGM/IGG. Bettyg Posted by Areneli (Member # 6740) on :
Anybody can elaborate on IND stripes?
I have only one + but several INDs.
So what these IND mean?

bettyg and TXKim - you must have 2 or more of the following bands in order to be considered CDC positive for the IgM WB 23-25, 39, 41.
While your tests show that these bands are all IND, that is not considered positive and the CDC and ducks will not count your test results as CDC positive.

IND means Indeterminate; therefore, inconclusive. However, if you have the clinical symptoms, but not the positive test results, you could still have Lyme.
