My daughter was doing really well on several different supplements this summer. I really noticed a shift in her health after she began taking freeze dried organic garlic. Seemed to be much less stressed, and more clear in general, skin much more clear, etc., (problems mainly neuro). THEN, when at a chiropractors office, we mentioned she had been taking garlic... an insensitive assistant said..."yeah I can smell it!" After that... she would not take it anymore. First year at high school.

Does anyone know of an odor free freeze dried organic garlic? Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Or if not, a different supplement that could be as effective as the freeze dried garlic?

Thanks.

Claire

New Chapter has a product called Garlic Force that I and a friend have used. It smells like garlic a lot in the bottle, but you don't smell like it! It's not freeze dried...it almost seems like it is an extract of some kind.

ps...I get it at www.vitacost.com

I would stick with the organic freeze dried garlic. Just cut back a little to titration, until there is no odor. Some people need more - some people need less to reach that stage.

Don't forget that many people at doctor's offices are not totally well either and can be as sensitive to odors as many ANS disturbed people like Lymies are. This person should not be in healthcare.

You will never get the effect that you need from an odorless liquid/ or crushed garlic. The freeze drying process highly restores and maintains the alliin content. It is distinguished from most other commercial garlic products that have no allicin releasing potential left.. And go only for organic. I have posted the reasons here so many times and I won't repeat it here.

Take care.

Timaca -- thanks so much for the resource. I have very high regards for New Chapter products and the prices are very resonable at that website. I am pretty well sold on organic freeze dried products, but if it doesn't work out, this could be the alternative.

Gigi -- Very good idea on reducing the dosage. Hadn't thought about that. As I think back, she didn't always have the odor... it became noticeable after about one month of taking the product. It must have built up over time. No need to explain the need for 'organic' or 'freeze dried.' Already understood.

Again thank you... all comments are soooo appreciated.
