Hey guys, I hope you are well or working towards wellness in some way.
i'm researching different lamps or lights that help increase serotonin.
Does any one have any experience with lights or lamps?
Does anyone have any experience with a product that the Center for Environmental Therapeutics recommends? www.cet.org the product is called day light.
Thanks for your help! b

I ahven't tryed that product but for me the added sunlight is mostly about getting more vit D.
I have read recently where sunlight can only give the body a certain amount of vit. D you can't get from a supp.
On the other hand, Since I upped my vit. D supp , I feel a little better.
Watch out for too much vit. D though.
Blessings
None of the above is medical advice, just my personal opinion

I too have a different brand of S.A.D.D. light. For me, I never was able to find out if it helped with mood since it would bring on migraine type headaches.
Later I found out I had lyme, so not sure how the relationship goes.
I have two friends that use them (without lyme) that swear by them. If you have any problems with headaches, it could make them worse.
But this is only my own personal experience. The concept sounded good, so had high hopes for it.

Bacterial infections look to need a red light to help and viral infections look to need a blue light.
Which cell do you want to impact T-cells or B-cells? T originate in the thymus and B in the bone marrow.
At first, I thought the reverse would be true, but now I realize "blue" is downregulating "red".
Look at Chakras. Look at what the individual colors impact. Which ones impact the immune, the eyes (pineal - serotonin -> melatonin), etc.
Red looks to be related to the Th1 pathway and blue to the Th2 pathway.
The top "chakra" is purple. Red + blue.
For Bb...consider a far infrared sauna. Looks to increase ATP, open acetylcholine channels, correct the Na-K pump problem, impact amylase and lipase.
Research the above saunas in depth.

Without light all life would cease to exist. The various colors in white light have a HUGE impact on us. These are negative charges. A part of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Marnie, I found your information wonderful. Can't say I understand it fully, but it definitely seems to have validity.
My question, I was only diagnosed a week from today, so I'm in the extremely beginning phases.
When we mentioned Far Infrared saunas to my LLMD, he told me it's too early for me to be thinking that direction.
Any clue as to how long I need to be on abx before this may be an option since this definitely sounds like a direction I'll be wanting to persue.
