okay, i know there's tons of stuff about mag on this site, but i'd like some personal recommendations.
what type/brand of mag. do you take, how much/how frequently?

I just talked to my LLMD about this today. He recommends the Jiroffa brand at no more than 3,000-4000mg/day.

I just placed my order today, so I haven't started taking it yet, but will, just as soon as I get it.
It's $14 for 60 pills. That's all the information I have right now.
If you google the brand, you should be able to purchase some. If you want to, that is.

Mag Tab SR 1,000 tablets $134......
We are 4 at home taking Mag Tab:
2 members with active lyme 1 member in remission for the last 5 years (symptoms and abx's free) 1 member in denial of having lyme but taking all the supplements including MAg Tab !
I was wondering even thoug we, lymies, need more Magnesium than healthy people, if there is any side effects or damage that can potentially be caused in the future by long term extra Magnesium intake...... I think marnie might have the explanation.....!

I am really struggling to work magnesium supps into both my daughter's daily regimen and my own. We both take abx morning and dinnertime and probiotics at bedtime. My LLMD says just take abx first thing in the morning, wait an hour and take supplements, but that's easier said than done when you're heading out to school and work. We both take Neurontin, which I know cannot be taken with magnesium.
My biggest question is what magnesium can and cannot be taken with. For example, can I take it at bedtime along with my theralac probiotics? Can it be taken along with DHA and alpha lipoic acid? Milk thistle?
I'd love to hear what others do or know about this?
