My vision has taken some bad turns - it never was good - always glasses and contacts.

It's gotten much worse as I get older and I want to get get that laser surgery instead of bifocals but I am worried that having a body infection (Lyme) would make it bad.

Has this ever been addressed? I am taking Amoxicillan (3 mg a day) for nearly a year - would it be reasonable to get my eyes worked on? It (LD) is still not gone but does it need to be to do any medical stuff like eye surgery?

Farmdog- ASk you LLMD- all I can tell you is that my LLMD said no elective surgery.
I just keep getting stronger prescriptions-bifocals for both close up and distance only I get the kind that don't have the line and I carry eye drops with me all the time.

I am technically on the payroll(but getting disability) at a school for the blind-and get free exams and glasses.

Opthamologist suggested surgery for my droopy eyelids and lower lids-to help vision and blepharitis (sp) fancy name for dry eye. However- as I said LLMD said No.
