After my GB surgery, I startd my rocephin again and noticed that it caused severe nerve pain in my groin and legs and all over.
Does abx besides floxins cause nerve damage? I can't find anywhere on web...thanks>
Not sure if I should take my rocephin or get switched (I have been on it three months now).

What MIGHT be happening to you is a herx reaction.
When I was given IV vancomycin during my knee surgery, I ended up in full body excruciating nerve pain. It was hellish. That was my herx reaction to the antibiotic.
I took IV rocephin for 6 1/2 months. My nerve pain did not increase significantly. In fact, near the end of treatment, it had almost gone away.
Certainly talk with your doctor.

Nerve pain was the first thing I noticed with rocephine. It started about 90 min after infusing. I was not supper bad but very noticalbe. It also would happen in various locations in the body. after 2 months it stopped for me.

i think i started getting seizures while i was on the rocephin and after.
