a skin change: from past expreiences consider YEAST, BARTONELLA, MED REACTION (mepron is famous here)
Bartonella may manifest as red streaks, rashes, etc

Things that pop up out of nowhere looking like pimples and feeling like cysts. Start out red and then pale and stay for months.
Tiny red things that spring up and start bleeding out of nowhere.
Bart? Babs? something else entirely?

Be careful - it could be shingles. Several people here have had these in recent months. Do a search on this forum for shingles and see whether it makes any sense in your case.

I have them, and I forget whether they are caused babs or bart.
I use metronidazole cream to make them go away. It was rxd for rosacea by my dermatologist, but I figured if it works on the inside in pill form, it should work on the outside in cream form.

I too get a weird bumps/red rash on my face sometimes. My doc at the time also dx it as rosacea but when the creams made it worse he finally realized it wasn't that. of course he was as clueless as the rest and said he couldn't help me...figures lol. Luckly I don't get it all the time.

Any chance you were taking zithromax? Seems to be a common side effect of the medication itself. Scratch looking marks are almost certainly bartonella, but doctors and patients alike are split. They could be any of the following..
1. Drug reaction (Zithromax seems to cause this, as does Mepron) 2. Herx reaction 3. Possibly one of the coinfections 4. Just semi normal acne?

I get bumps, similar to acne, but that is yeast. (gets itchy too) Clears with anti-yeast meds and a clean, yeast-free diet.
I also was dx with rosacea. I used an abx cream that did not help. Now I use another cream from MD, but it is tinted green.
I use it on my nose every day (ears sometimes) to hide the redness and help them stop burning!
Although, I may let the nose stay red through the holdidays! Maybe I can pull a sled too??
As far as my cheeks and chest, the redness and "rash" appearence (not sure what it is) was not there as much while I was on ABX for the Lyme, but since I stopped,it has come back.
It comes and goes through the day.

Do you find that the rash is raised?
My daughter has what we thought were stretch marks, but felt like something (she thought parasites - gross!) was under her skin. Someone told us that stretch marks are not raised. She also has the bumps. Both are on her thighs, but the raised bumps are other places like her arms.

Babs causes a rash that looks like small pimples- Itches like Hello -
Bumps have Nerve type reaction where you scratch one on your leg and you can feel it on your back -arm-ect--
the bumps are ruff - scratchie-
some bumps will bleed if scratched most dont tho --
Bumps form around joints days before thatjoint pain flairs up--Ouch- Hope this helps--Jay--

Hot-tub folliculitis is an itchy skin rash consisting of tiny pimples, some of which may contain a drop of pus in their center (see Bacterial Skin Infections: Folliculitis, Skin Abscesses, and Carbuncles).

I, too had pimple-like bumps on my face, upper arms, and sometimes thighs. I thought it was a vitamin e defficiency, but once treated with Nystatin, they all went away. They never were "poppable" like a pimple, and ended up being yeast. Don't know if that helps,

could very posibly be MRSA a abx resistant strain of Staph aureus.
i have this about a month ago.
treatment is extemely difficult because very few if any abx work.
vancomycin and cloramphenicol can be used but the side effects are very bad. chor causes aplastic anemia not sure of side effects of vanc
my doc but me on bactrum ds and it cleared it up, but i had the worst herxing i;ve ever had since treatment started. so it will kill bb also. it worked so well he kept me on it , but i could not stand the herxing and pain,\ however back on biaxin and my brain feels clearer, my eyes hurt less and i do mo need a nap. this is the first time in 13 years that i didn't need a nap.
bactrum ds may be more helpful for lyme than anybody would suspect.

I got tiny red bumps looking kinda like small pimples all across my forehead-I thought my skin was breaking out-they itched, they blead, but they were different-very very small, close together, and I seriously felt deformed!
Found out a month later they were the start of shingles. My right side of my face swelled up and I got the pins and needles sensation in my face. IT was HORRIBLE-and the tiny bumps went away-
See a dermotologist-they should be able to tell you-and also take pictures so you can SHOW them!

I had a bunch of tiny red bumps - some were the tiniest little blisters that would erupt in clusters on my cheeks, forehead, but especially around my mouth. I know sometimes Lamisil cream helped clear them up nicely - other times though, it made it worse.
I had some brownish scarring there for awhile. It's faded considerably, but at it's peak, it was embarrassing. Even 'healed' bumps had the brown discoloration to them, and in fluorescent lighting or bright sunlight, I had these brownish areas on my face and almost a yellow hue to my skin which made it look even worse.
My coinfections so far are negative, but my blood is growing at least 2 types of staph - don't know which kinds yet. Worried though that it'll be some resistant strain, so my only hope is to Rife it away in 2.5 months.

Does anyone have little pimple looking things (good point about the folliculitis)that don't itch?
I always heard that things like yeast etc.. were itchy, and mine certainly aren't.

Mine don't itch. They're pretty solid, too.
Like I said earlier, metronidazole cream works to clear them up.
