Hey folks, I have been taken off of antibiotics which is the pitts of course when your drug of choice IS antibiotics so you feel better.

The reason is because my blood acid levels were very high. So high that the doc was talking possible heart attack and stroke. So no abxs and impossible diet.

I went to my psychiatrist today and told him about the acid levels and he said he was taking me off of Cymbalta as it affects the liver, and I think the liver is what affects your pH levels.

He is changing me to Effexor and weaning off of Cymbalta.

Can anyone give me information on this?

Thank you, Lemonhead

Make sure the dr. weans you off of Cymbalta VERY SLOWLY - like at least a month! It can be a very tough withdrawal.

Hope it goes well,
Theresa

What new med DOES'NT affect the liver?

The only thing I know about cymbalta is that it's an antidepressant given to some people for the pain of peripheral neuropathy...it supposed to work for that...

Why did you put acidopholos in your heading?

For me EFFEXOR was INEFFECTIVE...

I was unaware that hi acids meant high enzymes or toxic liver...

But hey one learns new terminology every day with this disease...
