Thanks for posting DD!
I'm glad it's over and there no pain, so far, so good. Rest up and heal up.

Did they wind up doing a replacement or a repair? Just curious and glad to hear you're alright. Hang in there!

[woohoo]

When you're feeling up to it, let us know the details (nothing gory, just the replacement versus repair thing).

Get some rest!

That is great....
In fact I thought wouldn't hear from you till Monday...because of you knee!!!

And do you know why I thought about you???

Well, went today to my dentist and he sent me straight to the "PERIODONTIST"..........

"BONE LOSS" on my lower front teeth.....I thought it was gum disease or "plague" under my gums....but nothing at first glance....more xrays..from there the periodontist (Royal Palm Beach) would give me a "diagnosis"

AARGGGGHHHHH!!!!

Mentioned Lyme, but I doubt he knows MORE THAN YOU if this event is caused by my LYME, which at this point has been under control......

Hope your knee never aches and get better after this surgery... Good Luck Doc Dave!!!!

Hope you're resting up well and the pain stays away [kiss]

Judging from his immediate return....

I doubt he had replacement surgery...unles he has a laptop!

Anyway...cartilege excisement age 16 1966 relative piece of cake....now they do it with orthroscopic tools even easier...

1977 and 1982 total knee reconstructions...
cast from hip to floor...extensive and painful recovery...

1999 and 2005 total knee replacements...bilateral

doc in Ohio and in Florida told me exactly same thing...
"worst knee dammage they've ever seen"!?

Could have been the lyme I told them...they told me
"I don't do lyme, I do knees"...morons...

anyway...I had a rough time with 99 replacement due I think to autogolous blood donation not being frozen and getting vanco by mistake after surgery...
had lyme reaction of palsey in right hand and right side of face...and more pain than I should have cuz the spinal did'nt take...and they slabbed me and stabbed me anyway!

ortho duck said afterwards that that was inexcusable...I said...yeah...how do you think I felt about it....cuz I was still awake when they made the decision! OW!

anyway second knee replacement spinal worked but the dang tube connection post surgery kept disconnecting...four times in one night...talk about bone excruciating pain...

And they(the nurses etc) kept telling me I was knocking it out!...It was'nt being knocked out cuz 1 I could'nt move and two the problem was in the connecting tube...

they finally figured it out after the fourth time I screamed in pain...

anyway...no palsey this time or lyme flare probably cuz I had my autogolous blood frozen prior to surgery....
cost 80 bucks a pint... and medicare or ins does'nt pay for that...

My mom had a bad time with this surgery...cuz i think she had lyme and gave it to me...

My sister on the other hand who is a few years older than me had no problems...don't think she has lyme...

Just thought I would give whoever wants to know the rundown...

THEY DID NOT DO A KNEE REPLACEMENT BUT A BRAIN TRANSPLANT.

I GOT BARBARA STRISAND'S BRAIN AND VOICE.
DOES THAT NOW MAKE ME GAY.
I GUESS THE GAY ME WILL BE CHASING ME NOW.
Day 2 and no pain/
BUT WHAT AN ADDITON TO THE LYMENUTS.

only roto rooter job. no new knee.
ican can dance now, which is great because i could dance before the surgery.lol

i'll probably sleep today. so don't wake me
i get like abear in hibernation.

thanks you your support
docdave.
i decided to go over to the other lyme group now
lol

HA, HA, HA.... good to see you posting, Stymie Doc Dave. Please don't sing for us though - we don't want Barbara S. to get all cranky about your "transformation".

Keep smiling... (and have your pain pills ready if needed).

Dave, now that you are channeling Barbara,

To the tune of "People"

Lymies....
Lymies who need lymies
Are the luckiest people
in the world!

Ack! That is a different thread.
Sorry Barbara! [Wink]

Wait a minute....

I thought one had to HAVE a brain to transplant.....first....or is that just to have a brain exchange!??

Well in any case...keep doing those meds....

If you LOOK like Barbara...we may have a drink later....

But only if you LOOK like her...with a mild adjustment to the shnozeolla....

but considering your admitted heritage...yous is probably just as bad!

I don't know if I'll like the new you!

I kinda liked "the way we were"!

LOL

ZMAN...emphasis on MAN..."not that there's anything wrong with that"!

OH NO!!!

I hope you are ok.. but what REALLY worries me is..

WHO was the unlucky fellow to get YOUR brain during the transplant? Let's hope they didn't try to salvage that tiny organ they found in your skull to use in someone else!!!

YIKES!!!!

I have to feel REAL sorry for them!!

[Big Grin]

Feel better soon old friend...
