Since acquiring Lyme my foot R foot/toe has always been a little swollen ..... sometimes it goes down. Feels like there is a rubber band around the base of the big toe. It is hard at the tip and it HURTS!!! It has gotten much worse in the last day or so.

Does anyone else have this or have any ideas? I have told my LLMD about it but really I never get an answer............

When I first got lyme this toe had round raised small red spots on it .... but they went away ......... they returned once but then they receded
and never saw them again.

Another very interesting thing is that I had pain in this toe before Lyme ......... well as far as I know it was before lyme ..... not exactly like this but the same area.

No gout ......... uric acis is actually low.

Any ideas??

In pain,

robi

I had something like this on two of my smaller toes a few years ago. Had no idea about Lyme at that point, so the podiatrist put me on a week or so of Lamisil antifungal - claiming it was a rare presentation of athlete's foot.

It cleared up and has come back only mildly once or twice since then. The toes involved are still redder than the others, but haven't been painful for some time now.

Are you on an anti-yeast regimen? Which of Buhner's herbs might help if it is fungal? It's been a while since I perused his book.

Hey robi, i too have pain but in both big toes. it's mainly when I walk on them. i'll get this stabbing pain when i walk like something is being ripped in the toe. Also the ball joint below the big toe under my feet is swollen & very tender to the touch. it's odd but the pain will alternate between both big toes. it comes on for no reason stay a few days/weeks and then just disappear, then come back again. Most of my joint pain is like that as well.

Hi robi,

sorry to hear about it. I just have additional questions for you -- could it be fluid retention?

Or, a fungal infection of the toe and foot?

I get great and quick relief from rubbing oil of oregano on my foot whenever it gets itchy.

I use a public pool and walk around lockers without flip-flops. yes, i know, that is bad, and I probably pick up other folk's foot yuckies.

But I always solve the problem with a few drops of oil of oregano on my foot and rubbed in with a tissue. that stuff really seems to kill whatever fungus or bacteria causes my foot problems. Works for me at least.

Hi Robi,
You have recieved excellent advice so far. Look into all of those for possible explanations.

IF they dont give the relief you are wanting, needing,,, goggle Psuedo(sp) gout. It is when the body thinks you have gout but dont. And it is NOT an imagined disease,,,very real, very painful. The body doesnt have the uric acid in it but some sort of other crystal doing similiar damage.

Might even be caused by lyme,,,who knows. Hope this gives you an ounce of pain relief, they should have recomendations as to how to treat in the med books. IB--just don--

Heavy metals move to the lowest points in the body: feet, knee, prostate, reproducing area, lower jaw. Specific weight? Where the metals are, the Lyme sets up housekeeping. When we store heavy metals, our body builds fungi as a precaution - the metals would actually kill us. It is cause and effect.

Take care.
