doc took out sutures today.
he said i could dance tomorrow.
thanks great i said, but i couldn't dance before surgery!!lol

tomorrow will start building up to play tennis again.
physical therapist today for first time, could not belive i had sugery 10 days ago.
i have 98% use of the leg ,before i only had 40%
so i gained 58% not bad in 10 days.

doc said he never saw anyone heal this quick without swelling.

i told him the inside of my body is as
sterile as the outside, and i don't have any bacteria in my system that can cause infection.

my bb are quietly hiding in their little cocoons
in my muscles and tendons and not in the blood
stream.

only thing in my blood stream is abx and plaquenil.
so why did i heal so quickly, any thoughts??
achilles surgery 2 years ago also went well.

do the bb themselves not cause infection?
do they only cause problems when killed and
toxins pour out??

13 years and i still don't understand more than
i did the first day, nothing makes sense.

however, this time, my lyme was in control and slight remission.
he wanted to do the surgery 2 months ago but my lyme was flaring so i told him no surgery but injection ok.

does any of this make sense. our immune systems are suppose to be shot, yet i get no infection, haven't had a cold or flu for 8 years.
when my lyme cleared it was like the claritin commercials.
remove the film and everything is clear, vision better,no light sensitvity.

2,months ago i thought i was going to die, now i feel like i'm cured.
I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND ANY OF THIS.
I HAVE READ OVER 500 RESEARCH ARTICLES IN THE LAST 5 YEARS AND STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND/.

[woohoo]

great news dave!

here is what someone else posted about a similar subject on a thread a few days ago. It was about not ever getting colds.

"This is because persistent lyme causes the immune system to go into high gear against foreign invaders. Medically what is happening is our immune system's T cells are being excessively polarized into the Th1 type, which fights invaders like virii and bacteria.

So, we fight off cold germs very well. But this overactivation also leads to inflammation, which in turn causes many of our symptoms.

So, you may ask, why doesn't our activated immune system kill off the lyme? Part of reason is the lyme infects and hides in white blood cells, which are part of the immune system. For the immune system to do the job all on its own, it would have to kill part of itself!

The immune system generally does not eradicate itself, so it needs help from other bacteria killing methods such an antibiotics."

make sense?

Great news DocDave!
So good to hear it all went so well and you're feeling good. [Smile]

Sounds like you're not too far from the tennis courts again. [woohoo]

I hope removed gallbladders heal up as nicely. I'm not on ABX, yet, and it seems foolish to start 2 days before surgery.

I also rarely get a cold or flu. Maybe once every few years. My body has no problem fighting those off. Well, that's something at least.

Congratulations!! It's always so nice to hear inspiring tidbits such as this [Smile]

But this is a lot more than a tidbit... 58% improvement in 10 days after surgery is HUGE!

I'm very happy for you [Big Grin]

You'll be playing tennis again in no time!

actully i am going to play tomorrow.
yes tony sorry to disappoint you but thr new knees will be 2-3years from now.
tc you may have the first dance, you lead.

even with my wife gone ,i do feel better, maybe here stess wpre off on me and was keeping me for getting better.
i still think stress and brain perception of stress is a hugh part of healing.

brain healthy, even with drugs, the endophins and serotonin kick in and this increases to bodies ability to cure itself/

cavey to don't know your butt side from the teeeth side after all these years.
ever see a butt with teerth????

i've seen many a mouth that lookd like a butt though.lol

tennis anyone????
sorry to make you all jealous , but this actually keeps me healthy. not the pills

so i go from complete criple to tennis in 10 days, not back for an old, wifeless f--t.

thanks everbody for helping me thru this.
your support was crutial yo my suceess.

docsampras [group hug] [woohoo] .

Hello doc dave -- what happened to barbara? We need the alto soprano...

Congratulations on your knees, that is good news! As Robin would say, you really kneed them! Maybe you are a fast healer due to all those vitamins, or all that healthy living in the Florida sun??

Actually, I am more impressed by your saying that you read 500 articles in the last 5 years; 100/year, two per week -- pretty good for a lymie, I think the lymenet community has another job for you in advocacy, if you have time to write some letters...

Take good care and I may need your surgeon's name, am ready for my next brain transplant...

You sure about that brain duck Vermontlymie??

This guy has gone from being DocDave to Stymie Lymie to Barbara Streisand to Pete Sampras....

Using HIS brain surgeon may lead to personality ammnesia!

Which in HIS case could be a good thing! LOL

LOL

Good to hear you are doing well,

I don't understand the fast healing either, maybe just good genes?

Hi tony z,

Perhaps you are right, a knee duck would not be good for my brain transplant. although, of all possible worlds, multiple celebrity personality disorder sounds like a good outcome for a lymie...!

And I am ready for my attitude transplant!

Or an antibiotic refresher course....

I hope Stymie puts Pete, Barbara, and everyone else he is channeling to work on lyme advocacy...

Cuz we can use their help, and hasn't Pete retired from the tennis world anyway?

first of sll the new name is petesand.
i will be singing the national anthem at the australian open, then playing doubles.

and tony pick on somebody your own size like cavey.

vermonty: i have signed up with tc but no info yet.

i have sent letters to the editors of about 20 major newspapers.
the balto sun editorial may have been helped by my letter to them
also sent to la times, chicago tribune, new york times, balto sun, sun sentinel, palm beach post, miami herald, washington post, philadelphia inquier, atlantic constitution, and of course the new york post

i will resend a different letter again with different info and my life story.
from dentist to vegetable to dyslexic, to soprano to tennis pro , in 6.9 years what a career.
shame the money didn't come with all these careers

and no tony i don't edit my posts unless i want to add something them i fixed errors.

But doc, we really have MCPD -- lol Vermont -- sounds like total fun -- one disorder you'd want augmented, not corrected... And you could be onto something here, as in automatically having celebs onboard to go to bat for us -- Glad you're doing so well, Stymie. Now will Barbara and Pete advocate?

Posted by lymie tony z (Member # 5130) on :

OK docsampras....

No Cave...I don't know who he insulted more either...but we'll just have to consider the source...

We'll have to get Barb up at a Kareoke bar sometime...
I'll do my Joe Crocker,James Brown,Johnny Mathis,Nat King Cole,Kenny Rogers,Tony Bennit,Frank Sinatra,Bobby Darren,Johnny Cash,THE TEMPTATIONS,Smokey Robinson,Gene Pitney and many other renditions....LOL

Can't do tennis anymore...have a hard time just walking...
But I can sit and sing for awhile....zman
