Along with Lyme I have lots of back and shoulder problems that recently are getting really bad. Probably the Lyme making things worse, but either way the problem is there.
I have some twisted areas in my spine but no real disk problems.
Tried Chiropratic and also Polotherapy and did not get any positive results from either. The Chriroprator I was seeing suggested trying Rolfing.
I never heard of this until then and looked it up. Sounds like it might be painful and expensive.
Just wondering if anyone has heard of this or tried it. I am looking for anything that can give some relief from these awful back / rib / shoulder pains.
Thanks
Brewer

Yes it is extremely painful!!!! My brother in law is a Rolfer and was taught by Ida herself. There is no way, no how, that I would ever let him touch me because at the time, I could barely stand my clothes touching me let alone have him digging into me with his elbows.
Do I believe that Rolfing might get you well? Not directly. The bottom line is still the infection. Nothing a Chiro or a Rolfer is going to do is going to stay put until the spasms stop and that isn't likely to happen until the little buggers have been put to sleep.
I have found a chiro helpful along with massage, but in all the years I have dealt with this illness, it only lasts as long as my body doesn't spasm.

Yes, I had rolfing along with a lot of other bodywork when my condition started. Nothing worked. For me, only the clindamycin antibiotic when it was finally discovered I had Lyme finally took down the tissue pain for awhile. So I think it's a matter of finding which antibiotic can work.

You are right Brewer - it is expensive and, for me, excruciating.
I had 5 sessions a few years ago and it was horrible every time. It did me no good whatsoever. I finally had to stop - I wasn't getting anywhere.
