Yesterday and & today I've been having nausea, and vomiting everything and had been on Theralac for about a week. Is there any chance that is it? Nothing else in my treatment has changed & I wasn't having that happen at all before. Don't want to frighten anybody, my body is weird, and most people here seem to have done well with it.

I would really doubt it. Theralac shouldn't cause any of those problems. Any chance you have a "bug"??

John,
This summer, I threw up for five hours straight after taking one Theralac, plus had an instant killer headache. I haven't touched it since.
I'm awaiting test results to see if I have candida in the gut. My systemic candida test was negative.
All I can think in my case is that the Theralac had a probiotic strain in it that my other probiotics didn't, so maybe I had a huge die-off of a particular candida strain.
The other option is that it only affects San Diegans, given that you and I are in the same city!
There are so many glowing reports about Theralac that I decided to try it. Obviously, it either doesn't agree with me or I will have to ramp up slowly. My LLMD wondered if I had an allergic reaction to the coating or some ingredient in it.

It does say in their literature that it can cause a herx. Maybe start out taking it every other day.
It gave my daughter a two day herx, then she settled into it. But, that was early in her antibtiotic journey, so she wasn't extremely yeasty, and had taken Diflucan.

I would call your doc & tell him/her what going on.
Many people react so different - it may be something on their coating that you may have a sensitivity to or possibly one of the strains in there like Jill mentioned.
I would stop it right away & see if you feel better in a few.

i, too, am getting headaches with theralac. i'll continue taking it for a couple more days but after that, i may discontinue it.
threelac has a priobiotic that's called flora five and i didn't have any problems with it.

Theralac gives me stomach trouble/nausea etc if I take it too frequently. I can't take it every day either.

Could be a herx, allergy or sensitivity. You could always just be sensitive to an ingredient in it.
You could stop it and see if the symptoms go away. Or, reduce the amount.

Thanks everyone for your generous advice.
I have stopped taking it as of now, and may restart on a lower dose (like one every other day). Lymetoo, I agree it could have been a bug... since a bug could cause the symptoms I described (and fatigue and maliase later on). I just wanted to be cautious rather than jump right back in so to speak after the symptoms abated.
Regarding the coatings, Jill E. I also wondered if it could have been due to part of the coating of the capsules since there is an orangish color on parts of the capsules but not the whole thing. I wonder if that is from the capsules or their contents? I'm not sure if it is some kind of a herx -- I might have a lot of yeast just from rocephin and a less than perfect diet.
If it wasn't a bug I hope I'll be able to tell whether it is a herx or just an allergic reaction.
Its really random that the only person who had a bad reaction to it also lives in san diego! darn san diego, perhaps it is exacting some kind of penance for its good weather and its overriding sense of simplicity or predictability. (nevermind there are other people, I guess the city isn't to blame )
