Hi,

How does your body react to the foods you should not be eating when recovering from yeast/candida?

What are your worst symptoms?

Thanks,

I was told to keep a food log as it could take several days before symptoms showed up.

I have yet to do this.

But, I have noticed again and again one symptom.

It is as if I have a stick poking me in one eye or the other.

When the eye starts to water, the poke in the eye feeling starts going away.

The brain fog is also worse.

At times, the brain feels like it is too big for the skull and I can't move, must stay quiet, can't talk, can't listen to TV to take my mind off of things, usually throw up and have the runs and the pain in the head is great.

Sometimes this is due to food intake and other times I just am not sure.

I know this sounds very strange. It is strange.

I currently am eating a box of See's Candy. Not sure how that is going to affect me.

In the past, it has not been a good thing.

I need to stay away from sugar, white rice, flour, white potatoes, etc.

Good question. Looking forward to reading what others write.

When I had chronic yeast, I would get very tired if I ate sugar/carbs. I would also get vaginal yeast symptoms within hours to days.

Hi,

Thanks...Do you get herxes from the yeast meds? Like Diflucan/Nystatin, whether it is brand name or generic?

Thanks,

I've herxed or had a herx like reaction to Diflucan - every time I try it. Usually after a few weeks. Nystatin doesn't do the same thing for me.

I used to herx on generic Diflucan. I would be exhausted the day after I took it. When I had chronic yeast, fatigue was a big symptom for me.

well, vaginal yeast symptoms are the obvious one for me (I wonder how the heck men figure out they have candida problems???), but also tiredness and mild mental fog and forgetfullness (though who knows, maybe that's all Lyme), and, if I eat too much sugar, a feeling of 'edginess', that feels a little bit like caffeine makes you feel, but I doubt that's just coming from the sugar alone as I dont feel that way if I don't have a candida problem at the time. Also, I think I get soft stool if I"m having a raging candida problem. If I do a LOT of probiotics (I drink rejuvelac when I have a problem, it's very potent) it becomes completely normal within a day or so.
