i am still new to the lyme thing..b4 now, i was having a couple of weeks or so in between bouts of lyme symptoms..but i have had my symptoms this time since b4 christmas...is this normal? i've been VERY stressed the past couple of weeks..would that make a difference? i posted a few weeks ago about my symptoms being mainly left-sided..i am having terrible bouts with my left foot and hand feeling like its asleep..also, the left side of my mouth feels asleep 80% of the time and the whole left side of my face feels, at times, asleep..but ive had no droopy eyelid or any changes that you can see..SO irritating..anyone else experience this? by the way, i am not yet on any kind of antibiotic or treatment

Hi and Welcome,

As my lyme progressed, I went from having symptoms only every 28 days or so to having them constantly...That's when I got aggressive and found a lyme doc.

Like you, I had numbness that would come and go-hands, feet legs (it was a different body part or parts each time).

I also had terrible nerve pains, aching, shooting stabbing.

Stress around the holidays is no good for lyme and will cause you to flare longer and harder. This is normal.

I would suggest you find a lyme doc and get tested and begin treatment. With the facial stuff, you may be getting into some bell's paulsy...

"WHAT IS BELL'S PALSY?
Bells palsy is a condition that causes the facial muscles to weaken or become paralyzed. It's caused by trauma to the 7th cranial nerve, and is not permanent."

This is considered an "Objective clinical finding" for lyme disease diagnosis.

It is a very long haul and the sooner you begin treatment the better.

Hang in there...keep the faith... (I am not a doc but feel like one after having this disease)...

Blessings,
Kim

Stress makes a BIG difference. I know that when I am stressed my lyme symptoms are alot worse.

Why are you not on any abx yet?

Abx have helped me enormously, I wouldn't be where I am today without them. I also take supplements, but have tried supplements alone, and I always feel better on abx.

Lisi
