I've been getting Bicillin injections for over a year now, and have just 4 more doses left.

I'd really like a change of pace for a while and get off of shots, if possible.

Anyone have any experience w/that, or suggestions of the best oral abx to switch to?

I was on Ketek w/PCN for a while. What about just replacing Bicillin w/Ketek, and continuing w/the tinidazole that I'm on?

This sounds like a question best addressed by your doctor!!!!!!!!

If Bicillin was working maybe oral penicillin>?
I don't know- I'd have to know your whole antibiotic history and what worked and what didn't, all the stuff your doctor knows!*)!*)!!!!
I would talk to him or her about it!!!
Best wishes,
Sarah

Yes, I was planning on talking to my LLNP, but I just thought I'd see if anyone had any personal experience w/this that they could share.

She did tell me the last time I saw her that the LLMD she works with has had difficulty getting some of his pts off of Bicillin injections, so I'm a little concerned about it.

FWIW, I recently stopped Bicillin after a year and a half and have been feeling better. Hard to know if it is from stopping the Bicillin, the Flagyl letting up, or just a good period that I have from time to time for no apparent reason, though.
