I have Lyme, babesia and mycoplasma. I have this weird dizziness all of the time which started about 4 months into treatment and I cant get rid of. I also have terrible muscle tightening in the front of my neck (sternocleidomasoid muscles i think). Anyone else have these strange symptoms? Anything helped? Im desperate! -nikki

Hi Nikki,
i too have really bad dizziness (vertigo) - my head is in a continual spin - it feels like i've just come off the worst rollercoaster ever!! so i know how bad u feel
I also feel like i'm on a ship tipping back & forth the whole time - do u get this too??
i think i remember reading one of your recent posts on IV tx & neuro sx & u sounded just like me with all your neuro symptoms
As for what helps - my dizziness has improved with abx tx. the 2 abx that have helped me most are levaquin & flagyl.
i would say levaquin has helped me most
flagyl also got rid of some of dizziness but beware if u take this as u can get severe die-off so go slow. (pre flagyl i only had to walk a few paces to the toilet & the whole room would be tipping upside down & round & round - thankfully its not that bad anymore)
I also find exercise helps with dizziness -gets oxygen to the brain & muscles & shifts toxins- the more i exercise the less dizzy i am.
Also my dizziness worsens in indoor environments - like shops/airports & around strong smells (perfumes, smoke etc) so i avoid places with lots of chemicals as i think some of my dizziness is due to chemical sensitivity?
i hope this is of some help. let me know if u find any miracle dizzy cures,
Liz xx

I've been getting the symptoms Liz describes of feeling like being on a ship back and forth. Plus I've had the dizziness and spaciness and brain fog - for me, this seems to be correlating with Bartonella worsening (I think, hard to know I have lots of coinfections) and with now being on Rifampin for Bartonella.
I really don't know if this is from the diseases, medication or die-off. I did start on cholestyramine several weeks ago in hopes of getting rid of some neurotoxins. But I'm on a low dose, it gives me a headache.

Hi Nikki- yes- dizziness and stiff neck/shoulders for a year now..it is the worst symptom for me I think. For awhile when it was so bad, I thought I would go insane and was very depressed. It got better for a little while, but never went away. Still trying to figure out some kind of combination of abx/drugs that will help it..it seems to get a little better over time, so hang in there Natalie

HEY I remember those rolling shipboard sensations- I got those when I was really bad and was put on Rocephin and was still getting worse- My LLMD told me those sensations are neuro and happen with MS- and Lyme of course!!!!!!!!
the dizziness for me was all Babesiosis and Babs Herxing!!!
You will get better*)!*)!!!!!!!!!!! Sincerely, Sarah

I have had on/off dizziness for a while. Do you keep track of your blood pressure? It could be a low blood pressure issue.
The only thing that helps me is diet cola. I know, it's poison. But for some reason it helps when regular cola doesn't.
