Hi all. I am working on buying a 1 person FIR sauna but do not walk at all. I can transfer, so I thought of driving my wheelchair right up to the door and then hsving a grab bar attached so that I can pivot around onto the bench. Has anyone here done this or know of a better way??? The Fir sauna places that I have asked don't have a clue! Thanks.

there is a company called miracle heat, I bought my Fir unit from them, and they will make you a handicapped accessible FIR sauna.
Hi achey....... what was th ecost if their saunas? WHy that brand?

hi robi, I researched a bunch of different companies. these folks are made in america, custerm services is fabulous, and they have really great warrentty.
oh I can't spell today!
Anyway talk to them and check out their site . they are very nice people. So I bought my FIR unit from them and hve been very happy.
and they do make handicapped accessible units and custom units for hndicapped folks. maybe they spell too.

The handicapped units are close to $5,000 from them. When I said that I really just needed a grab bar- they said that they couldn't help me and actually were not very nice or helpful! Oh well- I'm glad that you had a good experience with them. I guess I'll keep looking!
