This is the first cold I've had since being diagnosed in 04. My lyme symptoms are better except I still continue to struggle with neuro symptoms.
Prior to having lyme I did get a cold at least twice per year.

Well, I am waiting for a definitive response, too !
Especiallly since I had a ferocious head and chest cold this winter. And I cant remember anything that bad occurring since 15 years ago. My colds since that time were just a 24 hour drippy nose and a few sneezes.
But, I am doing better overall, the best in 3 years....who knows ? !

On my last visit to Dr B I asked him about this and he said yes a cold would be a good sign. I'm still waiting!

I'm curious also.
I had my first cold like symptoms in over a decase this January. Stuffy nose, congestion, slight fever and sore throat. Until then, I was doing quite well having made much progress in the last six months.

All I can say is I have a very bad cold right now, and I don't think it's good at all, not at all.
I feel awful.
And I still have all of my lyme symptoms to boot. Posted by cantgiveupyet (Member # 8165) on :
im starting to get a sore throat, and i feel like a truck hit me....all my lyme symptoms are flaring.
I was doing somewhat ok. I had a cold a few months ago too, first one since getting the lyme.
it felt great to have a fever!

I hadn't had a cold in a few years. Prior to this four year long flare-up I caught everything that went around and never considered it would be a good thing!
I caught my first cold the first month on the meds for babesia. I was thinking it was a good thing in a very odd kind of way.

I think a cold is a good thing. It shows the immune system is starting to work again. I know it makes ya feel miserable, but I will count my blessings when I get a cold. I haven't been sick other than Lyme in 4 years. Hiker

I haven't had a cold since getting hit hard with Lyme and I keep joking with my husband and co-workers how I am either the "healthiest sick person" or the "sickest healthy person" since I never get the bugs that go around.
Now I think it must be that I don't mount an immune response and so don't feel sick. Oh I hope I get a cold soon. I thought I was just a good hand-washer.

I just had a bad cold too along with my lyme stuff. I hate being sick.

I don't see why having a cold is a good sign? I had a cold a year ago when I was very sick with Lyme. I am still very sick with Lyme. Why is a cold a good thing? I've had many colds. flu over the years with Lyme.

I don't know the answer to your question. When I first got sick with lyme I got everything that came down the pike. As the years wore on I didn't seem to get much of anything. Went many years without a cold but felt like total cr@p.
So last year when I got a cold I took it as a good sign for me personally.
