Ann- OH brilliantly suggested that I may have rocky fever....
I did a search and my sx match and the rash is identical!!!
Is it possible to get in Ontario?
Or is this specific to certain areas?
Also I was wondering b/c my mom and I dont recall a tick bite this summer.
Can a cat transmitt it like in bart , or fleas? or another vector like mosquitos>?
I was reading that lyme can be transmitted by mosquitos somehwere I think.....
I wonder if this is the same b/c I remember a lot of mosquito bites in the summer, but no tick.
If this really is rocky fever then I feel relieved cuz that would explain why my lyme got so bad to the point of disabling me.
Now are the tests as acuccurate as the lyme ones? Would a local lab guve a deffinite yes or no? My lyme was neg in Canada.
I had to send my blood to Igenex and MDL and I did both a PCR and western blot which were CDC positive. I am concerned with the quality of tetsing right now. also what works well for it? thanks

Older children and adults should receive 100 mg twice daily on the first day and once or twice daily thereafter.
Antibiotics should be continued until the patient has been afebrile for at least 1 day and for a minimum of 5-7 days.
(Afebrile means without fever.)
Never delay treatment while awaiting a confirmatory laboratory diagnosis.

interesting. It says that there's a cat form from lfeas that you can get worldwide. I dont recall a tick bite so maybe thats it, but who knows. I think we're heading in the right direction with this. any thoughts? has anyone here had RMSF?

you should not be "relieved" if it is RMSF. RMSF is an extremely bad illness, and if that is what you have, you need to get on the right antibiotics soon!
YES!!! I agree. I just meant im relieved to know-- atleast I think im on the right track. everything matches. Before today I ahd no clue I could possibly have this, hence I'm happy in the sense that I may try and get prompt treatment etc . anyone here ever had this that i can contact?

Neither you nor your Mom is going to get prompt treatment as long as you stay on lymenet-you should be at a medical facility.
