i'd recommend staying on treatment longer than 2 months, etc. you want to KILL ALL SPIROCHETES that got into your body. you do NOT want to end up like many of us!

me, 37 yrs.; 34 yrs. misdiagnosed by 40-50 MDs/specialists!

i tried 20 months of pulsed abx on 2 abx; 6 months of supplements that made me worse.

presently OFF all abx and supplements.

taking regular RX meds for: muscle relaxer for fibro; thyroid, diabetes 2 oral med; mood swings and panic attacks; and compounded meds for:

environmental allergins under tongue for mold, etc. and anti-fungal nose spray!

i have a little more energy than when i was on 22 supplements!

bottom line, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! READ, READ, READ!

Sorry to see you're still wondering what to do...

I was in your shoes a year and a half ago.

Not a nice thing for our immune system, to be so worried. But I guess newbies have unfortunately no choice...

As I'm in continental Europe without access to any decent lyme specialist nearby, I got no other chance than alternatives. My budget was also low to do long distance treatments.

I don't regret having done what I did, but I can't say what would have been the outcome if I was treated by ABX long enough.

If you wish to try minimum 6 months or more of ABX, do it, then you'll know what will be the result for your case. Or you'll never know, right?? I guess you won't get permanent damage from 6 months of abx. Except for probable candida, but that's not permanent, just another tough thing to eliminate.

The problem is if you live in endemic areas and you get bitten, let's say, every year. By tiny almost invisible ticks. That's my case and my daughter's.

I can't possibly imagine living forever under abx or giving my small daughter abx for many months a year (specially in her case, that she can't take doxy due to age).

ABX forever cannot be a solution for our situation and life style, in my very personal opinion, specially for my little one as amoxy even doesn't cross BB barrier! She had a bad experience with amoxy last year. But if she could take doxy, who knows it would have cleared her lyme and co-infections?

It's all very personal, as I told you before. Sorry to confuse you with my stories...

I guess things will get easier once you start taking your ABX and see how you react to them.
