hey the other day i was in so much pain i thought i was gonna die, and i ran out into the hallway to get my parents.

i fell down having convulsions, then stopped and couldn't move or respond to my parents, even though i think i was conscious through the whole thing.

they don't think it was seizures but probably shock.

i was in the hospital for two days but they said they couldn't find anything and of course didn't believe in lyme, but i'm terrified of it happening again and i was wondering if anyone else has seen anything like that, or knows a way to keep it from happening?

it took four tubes of morphine and then some dilaudid to get me calmed down, which also scares me.

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, because i am so scared, i really thought i was paralyzed, having a seizure, or dying.

but i guess us lyme people always think we are dying haha.

Doesn't sound good. Sorry you're in such a state. Are you being treated for Lyme?

What was causing the pain -- headache, back pain or what?

Pain can cause all kinds of crazy reactions. Hubby has stomach pain and back pain that causes increased Parkinsonian tremors and myoclonus and seizure-like episodes.

The only benefit hubby got out of his most recent hospitalization was 3 days of staying in bed rested his back enough that he was able to stop the IV Dilaudid pain med he had been on for a week.

You need to know what is causing the pain -- nerves or tight muscles or constricted blood vessels etc to figure out the best treatment.

Good luck.
