I was wondering if anyone knows whether Theralac (or any product) would help in clearing what I believe to be a chronic fungal sinusitis issue I'm having.
My Dr. wanted to take a "first step" of seeing what a combo of Claritin/Mucinex-D/Singulaire would do...it has cleared/drained them and my headaches are gone, but I feel something is still hanging on. (numbness/raw/slight burning along with vibrations occasionally). My digestive system seems to be ok with occasional flare-ups, but I am aggressive with probiotics to keep things in line.
I am aware of the posts regarding Theralac's fungal and candida-fighting benefits, but hadn't seen if it's a systemic fighter or if it's just digestive-system focused, as most of the comments have been.
Would Diflucan be good for this as well?
Any info/advice is much appreciated!

97% of Chronic Sinusitis is caused by Fungus. Mayo clinic "discovered" it & now has broad patented their finding and own the whole treatment and condition. Since they hold this broad patent on the cure, they are the only ones who can say they can cure sinusitis with Antifungals like Diflucan or Amphotercin B.
Another thing you can try is nasal irrigation. I know several people who have done it and they tell me it works better than Diflucan. Basically you push salt water through your nose to your sinuses as your head is hanging upside down in the sink. First do one side and then the other. If you google nasal irrigation, you should be able to find out how to do it. I'm not sure about the ratio of salt to water. I know you need to use a whole cup of water. Probably distilled would be best.

These helped me : Getting off ABX ( I am now on Buhner protocol) Golden Seal Oil of oregano ( vulgare species ) capsules ( NOW brand two a day or one a day if they bother your tummy ) olive leaf extract
For me, the sinus and ear misery is definitely due to yeast from ABX .
The things I listed are anti fungal ( you could also try cumanda, a potent antifungal ) . Cumanda is very strong ! oil of oregano is too .
You will need to be vigilant with replacing good bacteria . But these will really work!

When I added GSE drops in juice, I had drainage from the nasal passages like crazy.
I wasn't aware of any sinus problem before, but there must have been somehing up there because this happened every time I took the GSE for a couple of weeks. Breathing does seem clearer now even though I wasn't aware of congestion before.
GSE is good for fungal infections.
I added this to VSL-3 (probiotic) and nystatin.

'Chronic Sinusitis' was my original dx (pre-lyme diagnosis) and they dosed me for months with levaquin without telling me about probiotics. I was under the care of an ENT and Allergist. They threatened surgery.
Fast forward to 9mos lyme dx and treatment. (By that point my sinuses and stomach were trashed.)
2 mos of diflucan prescribed by my LLMD turned me into a new person.
My allergist upon seeing me about 40 days into the Diflucan, couldn't believe the change in my sinuses and pretty much kicked me out.
I now go once a year for Zyrtec for mold allergies. But that's it - my sinuses are finally clear for the first time in YEARS!!
So yes, it can be done and I would definitely think fungal. Oil of oregano and a strict low carb/no sugar diet will also help.

I take theralac as one of the probiotics I take... It does help to keep down the gerneral yeast problems. Not sure if it helps for sinus problems.
A combination of over the counter nasal spray product called "just Saline" in the morning
& at night a nasal spray product called X clear with xlylitol & GSE in it.
The combination of the 2 products has helped alot
Blessings Dana
make sure to talk over everything first with your LLMD

I had success w/Itraconazole nasal rinses with a nasal lavage syringe. Ask your LLMD, ENT, or allergist about this.

I use a nasal spray with GSE from www.nutribiotic.com It has really helped me. I used to have to wear Breathe Right strips at night because I was so congested. I don't have to anymore.
