I have heard of Lyme patients developing psychosis. A college football player named (I think) Wyatt Sexton got a lot of publicity because he was a star quarterback. You could search his name here and on the web. He is recovering on IVs.

Did you read the replies to your previous post? If not, go back and have a look....you can search with your own member number rather than flip thru all the back pages on this forum.
Psychosis that is caused by lyme is treated with antibiotics, just like the other lyme symptoms. Some people go to psychiatrists too, and may get other drugs to help them until the psych symptoms subside. But psych drugs alone will not do it, you have to treat the lyme too.

Maybe Sun Ra's post "collection of Lyme and Schizophrenia links" would help?
It had lots of information about Lyme and psychosis.

I know that Lyme can indeed cause psychosis. I was very close to it once when I was having hallucinations and rages while herxing very hard on Flagyl and IV antibiotics + HBO (oxygen), after 10 years of mis diagnosis. Check out Dr. Bransfield's articles on Lyme and Neuropsychiatric issues, and also Dr. Fallon's work. See it in my links list (below)
