So yesterday I received my adrenals test back. It indicates my cortisol being abnormal in the afternoon and nighttime, but normal in the morning and at noon. Also, my cortisol/DHEA-S Ratio was 17.3, when the normal range is 5.0-6.0. I am a little confused at what this means. I don't go see my LLMD until the 20th, and thought someone might have some feedback.

Also, I have been having horrible problems with my menstral cycles and yeast. I take five theralac a day, oregano oil, candida gone, and eat a yogurt a day. My diet is very strict. Absolutely no sugar whatsoever. Could this test also be related to these problems?

two puggles, You might want to look at some info on www.womentowomen.com on insulin resistance. It has some good info on how that can influence a whole host of things, yeast, menstrual cycle, cortisol.

My daughter has it and has had great success in treating it. Obviously the lyme adds a big piece to it but you might find it helpful. Good luck

I just had this test done, and my levels were about the same as your but slightly higher (19.57)This has to do with your thyroid levels (a hormone)

From what I understand.... The pituitary gland is producing too much T4 hormone and it is converting it to T3. But, then sends a signal to the brain that your NOT producing T3 so the brain then starts over producing it.

My doc gave me N-10 Pituitary Plus to stop the malfunctioning signal to the brain. It comes in a dropper form. I take 10 drops under my tongue drops 2 times a day.

Hope this helps you,
Lisi
