I have 2gram ampules of powdered Rocephin, designed for I.V. use. I've heard there's a way to use it transdermally, by mixing with a cream and putting it under a patch. I tried to do it but each time was left with a mess I was unable to use. Does anybody have experience with this, and know exactly how to get the powder to a usable form? I know this has been a popular method for many drugs, such as nicotine patches. The application of Rocephin without the problems associated with I.V lines would be a real breakthrough. Thanks in advance. Bob

I'd be interested to know too. another lyme friend told me about transdermal abx which may be a good option for those of us with MCS or gut issues. I believe there's a pharmacy in PA that compounds them. I don't know if Rocephin is one, but I plan on researching this more soon.

There is a pharmacy in PA--Lionville, which makes many transdermal antibiotics.
