hi lymies, i had a terrible cold sore outbreak on my nose 3 weeks ago that looks like it may have left a terrible scar which looks like a huge round zit right at the tip of my nose which is really embarrassing. ( i have never had an issue like this before) i am afraid i may need to live with this for a long time. i know scar tissue heals but its really slow. are there any ways to help aid the healing process of scar tissue to help things look better? (herbs, essential oils, etc)?
regards, electric

The foundational lyme infections seem to make it hard for your body to heal... especially the skin.
I was at a loss for what to use and spent way too much on various formulas. And due to the aggravated allergic reactions couldn't use most of them.
Now I have some basic remedies that I use. Especially for my face.
#1. Clean all sores with hydrogen perxoide so that the other remedies work. (I had something like acne in my nostrils and this was a key step to take morning and evening.)
Then, I used stevia whole leaf concentrate (high in zinc and antibacterial) applied with a q-tip to the areas that needed healing.
Also, I have read that vitamin K topical cream (Rx only) will help not only scars, but also bruises under the skin to heal very quickly. If you can get a doctor to prescribe it, it may help. Google it and see what you find.
Sorry that you have to deal with this. I find it pretty distressing when my public parts (face/hands) have something that distracting too. Posted by DolphinLady (Member # 6275) on :
I use two types of technology that greatly speed up the healing process for me and my family:
1. The photonic stimulator by Bales Scientific which uses near infrared light at a powerful but safe intensity.
2. A lightbeam generator which uses light, sound and frequencies. It is manufactured by ELF Labs.
PM me for practioner contact info or call the manufacturers.

My husband has always sworn by Vitamin E and I have seen it work for him. He just buys Vit E capsules and pokes a hole in the capsule. He rubs the liquid Vit E on the scar. He does this daily (maybe a couple times daily) every day until scar is gone.
