Just a quick question. Is it possible since this condition is linked to Lyme disease
that if you get the Lyme under control the condition will get better or go away?

I would say it could go away. POTS I think is related to dysautonomia which there is some good info on this site about that and how it screws all kinds of stuff up.
Anyway get the Lyme under control and out of the central nervous system and things like POTS or dysautonomia will subside since it is the central nervous system is what controls these conditions.
I recommended an interesting book on dysautonomia somewhere on this board. The thread was up top a day or two ago.

I think it could get better. My problems with dizziness, low blood pressure, etc. got better when I was successfully treated for babs. Being treated for Lyme helped too, I'm sure!!

It definitely can be caused by lyme. I go to a mom's lunch lyme group and there are 5 teen girls recently diagnosed with POTS.
In fact I read on Childrens Heart Clinic website that the dr says that he did not see this condition until about 14yrs ago. Hmmm.
Our cardiologist says it can be cured when underlying nuerological problems are corrected.
My daughter is doing much better with POTS treatment.

I am currently on babs treatment.
However, this just seems to have really gotten bad in the last couple of weeks.

Do you know what is causing your POTS? Was your tilt table test specific as far as your individual condition? You should be able to attain symptom control with the proper medications. To answer your question, yes it can be caused by Lyme and tick borne infections. I have Neurally Mediated Hypotension(NMH/POTS) and it started the day I got infected with babesia. Treatment for Lyme and all co-infections made a huge difference for me. In the beginning, antibiotics made the NMH worse, and the herxing was very difficult. In time, and after many years, the NMH improved greatly. All things can get better in time!

My daughter's POTS became evident while she was on rocephin treatment under the care of an IDSA doc, who didn't relate it. Years later and many lessons learned, she is now on medication for it, which is a great comfort for all of us. There were times when I felt I couldn't leave her for fear that she would fall and need help. I do expect the dysautonomia to resolve when the lyme and co-infections are brought under control.
