The report summarizing the final numbers for 2005 is available here:

Lyme cases reported - 23,305
Babesia is not notifiable nationally (but is in CA)
Ehrlichia pathetically undercounted

No tickborne disease thought to be significant enough to be highlighted in the intro section. That is the official word, kiddies, we are not important enough to highlight.

Note that their final numbers always run a year behind.

The map just proves how out of the loop the CDC is in the number of Lyme cases in the country. Locally, we have had over 2,000 Lyme positive cases come through our support group in the last five years, and the map doesn't even show one case in our area.
When will they catchup?

I would love to know how many Elisas were run for Bb throughout the nation.....then how many western blots.

Nice to know that the U.P. of Michigan has no documented cases. It's a complete wilderness yet no ticks in sight. However, they have scores of CFS cases. [Roll Eyes]
