I have this feeling that there is a hard ball in my stomach, bigger then my stomach, about to burst. It is in the upper mid part, my stomach?
It is burning, and bloating, like a hard ball, I am on the tetracycline and tinidazole, I thought it was because I had too much herxing, because I threw
up this afternoon, but I think it is one of these infections. Tinidazole is the ****s, flagyl is much better i feel but am on this for now,
I have had this start after I was on the Doxy, it is not a typical lyme symptom, but the antibiotics make it better. I want to rip it out.
I also have the pain in the bones, and hands as I type.
I had this sort of with the babesia treatment too, but not as bad.
It is KILLING me this upper stomach. like something bigger then my stomach is in it. I took 500mgs of the Tetracycline at 11:30 this AM, it is now 8:30PM, I thought this feeling was from too much herxing, but it is not.
I feel like there is acid in my stomach, it is like it is killing my stomach. I also think this tetra is not strong enough, although I started it about 35 days ago, and it was too strong at the start, but
the lyme growth cycle has already hit so not sure what this is, if lyme is worse. My brain is a mess, please notice this.
Was this lyme or what for others?
It is not yeast,
One bloody thing after another with these bloody things.

This happens to me on Doxy. and Zithro. Symptoms are 70% better after stoping ABx I don't think it's the whole answer but greatly intensifies the problem.

There is no symptom that is "typical" with lyme, as I have learned. I have many gut issues associated with the disease, most of them starting before being on antibiotics.
It may be related to the doxy, and as many of us know, doxy is VERY rough on the stomach. ANY antibiotic can be rough, so if you're not taking probiotics, be sure that you do.
If this bloating/burning or vomiting happens after you eat or sometimes after you drink, it may be the onset of delayed stomach emptying. Mine started out very mild, and then one day hit me like a ton of bricks. There's medication that can help with that.
You could also have acid reflux. It's often associated with burning and at times can cause vomiting. Antibiotics are known to cause reflux, so you may want to take Zantac or Protonix, both you can get from your doctor.
Good luck.

I would guess your stomach is getting inflamed and this prevents it from emptying. I had a similar problem that was not Lyme related. Ginger root helped quite a bit. I used both the raw type from the grocery store and capsules.
I would not take the Ginger at the same time as your medication.

I have the exact same thing and I am not on any antibiotics! Actually I have been symptom free for over a year until the past month or so.

I had this while on doxy, and had to drink ginger tea just to help with that horrible feeling....it felt like my stomach was so full and pressure. It hurt to eat anything....because i felt so full.
i bet it is the tetra.

My daughter had this, as well. She got it starting zithromax, then adding rifampin. We had to pulse it five days on, weekends off. It was killing her.
Another thing we found that helped heal the stomach was a Pine Nut Oil. I just ordered our second bottle from Siberian Natural www.siberiantigernaturals.com
If this link doesn't work, just google it.
Someone mentioned this a long time ago, I took a chance, and it was one of those great products that help..with this bloody thing (love it).

Sometimes my stomach feels like it is "paralyzed". Like it just shut down, doesn't want to work. Feels very full. Like I shouldn't put any food in it, etc.
This started before I was on oral antibiotics. Since I've also had C. difficile, I wasn't sure if it was post infectious C. diff or lyme. I'm inclined to think it is lyme.
It comes and goes. I don't have it very often, but when I do, it is awful.

Many of us with lyme have cerebral palsy of the gut and the muscles do not want to function correctly. For example, I struggle with chronic nausea, uncontrollable hiccups (some of them are powerful enough to hurt!) have stomach spasms (seen on endoscopy) and sometimes get a little constipated. Most of this is prob. caused by the nerve system and not so much the muscles... Cure the lyme disease, cures your problem.
