Ok I know this is so weird. I debated on posting this or not. But decided to because it's freaking me out. But this afternoon I started getting this pain on the back of my head.
But it's not like a headache. It feels like when you wear a pony tail too tight or someone pulls your hair really hard. It's eight hours later and I still feel it. I cant touch my head or brush my hair. And cant lean my head back else it feels like its burning.
Is this what people have when they talk about their skin hurting?

My daughter experienced this last week for about 2 days and I was wondering if it was related to Lyme/Bartonella.

Her scalp in one spot just to the left of her centre part had a lot of pain. It hurt so much that I couldn't even try to move her hair to see if there was something there.

She described it as feeling like her ponytail was way too tight - only much much worse.

I am very curious about this.

Yes, my scalp use to burn along with my feet and hands.
I believe it is from neuropathy, which can be from any TBD.

Mine is in the same exact location, to the left of the center of the back of my head.

Not sure if this is the same but it is similar: Occasionally, my hair hurts. Well the roots hurt (a lot!) when the hair is moved. Usually lasts about a day.
Is only on my left side (but that is the side of my ear and neck and tooth pain too)

I have that too!!!

Tenderness and pain on the back of my head exactly like you all described.

I do have a tendency to pull my hair up to avoid having to fix it (lazy me), so I thought it was

related to that....but I have it also when I leave my hair down...

Hmmmmmmm.

Hugs,

Geneal

Yes, I have lots of nerve pain on my scalp. It used to burn really badly on the top of my head, and I'd put a bag of frozen peas on the top of my head (my family called me pea brain! [Roll Eyes] )

My pain tends to be mostly on the top of my head, but I can burn, spark, or crawl anywhere on my body, including my head.

Oh yeah.....this happens less now but you are right. Like having a tight pony tail in all day and then letting the hair down.

Scalp pain. Like it's sore to touch or move your hair. Yep, yep ,yep.

Mine is on top of head. There are days that I cannot wear my music headphones because the plastic band that connects them sits on top of my head and my scalp is too sensitive. Other days it's fine.

I have burning throughout my whole body, all the time, yet this scalp tenderness comes and goes.

I have Bart very badly, as well as everything else. I'm thinking Bart may be a big issue with all this nerve stuff.

yes, me too...back and top of the head and now recently on the right side of my head. [group hug]
my llmd says most of his patients have symptoms on the left side, but almost all of my symptoms have been on the right side. he is treating for all the coinfections systematically as he says the coinfection tests are not definitive.

It doesn't hurt to touch my scalp, as it seems to for some of you...but my scalp does indeed burn. It feels like someone has a blowtorch under my skin and has it turned on.
